Easter is getting closer: CI#185

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in with the Colour INKspiration crew and our awesome colour combination!!

Isn't he/she a little cutie?  I loove the sweet face!

And here's my card featuring these colours.  I've used the Storybook Friends bundle combined with die cutting from the Country Flowers dies and also some Country Woods paper.

This little bunny is easy to colour suing Stampin' Blends - I've used Smoky Slate (which is close to the Basic Gray but lighter) for the fur and Petal Pink for the lighter areas.

Inside the card features a little bunny!!

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Have you tried using a template? CTC#514

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING the templates from the Mini Catalogue.

I find using a template a brilliant way to get started .... even if I end up going in a completely different direction!  My card this time seems to be inspired by a couple!  But my starting point was certainly the ribbon detail under the central image (shown right next to my card).

This is actually a fun z fold card that features gorgeous paper showing it on both sides!  I love that!  The image on the front is also fussy cut from the paper - such wonderful paper with lots of lovely colours!

When you open the card you get to see all the super pretty paper!!

Up next is the extraordinary Andrea

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of great ideas!

Check out our Facebook group for lots more inspiration!

Mother's Day inspiration just for you

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm hopping with an awesome bunch of talented Australian crafters who love sharing with you!!

This month, we are getting ready for Mother's Day - which will be here before we know it!!

I love the wrapped bunch of flowers so my card reflects this is a paper 3D way!

I'm also sharing a sneak peek of a gorgeous new suite Beautiful Gallery.

I love the gorgeous stamped images from this set!

For the flower wrapping, I just folded pieces of the Beautiful Gallery paper to look similar to the image.

The last touch was to add a luxurious bow using new Beige ribbon and some old favourite - Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of amazing inspiration just for you!
