Scrapbooking favourite!! Check it out

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today is Scrapbooking Global day!! Each month we share some great inspiration for you1!

The lovely lovely Courtenay chose our theme this month and it is one that I LOVE (of course).
You know I'm a green girl!!

The DSP I've chosen is the new Lovely Garden ONline Exclusive paper that coordinates the the Thankful Garden Bundel.  I did NOT use that stamp set, however I used the dies for some of the leaf details, as well as the Stippled Roses dies and the Memorable Blooms dies.

The stamping comes from the NEW online exclusive set - Textured Notes and stamped using Memento Black ink to coordinate with all the Basic Black details.

And the title and journalling panel are from the Mixed Media Memories and More cards!!  That was easy!

Finally I added some white bakers twine on some of the bunches of leaves and some Tinsel Gems scattered around for bling (have to have bling!!)

I really hope YOU are inspired to try this!!
Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AMAZING projects!!

Paper crafting monthly blog hop - Easter Inspiration

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today I'm joining the fabulous paper crafting monthly blog hop of fabulous international crafters.  Join us for a world tour of inspiration!

Our blog hop this month is all about sharing from our January to April Mini Catalogue!  I'm starting to get ready for Easter, and of course, the lovely Storybook Friends bundle has a fabulous Easter greeting that I've been using non stop!!

I'm highlighting one of the panels of the Storybook Moments papers that you can cut up, as well as one of the die cut pieces also included in this paper.  I've used one of the gorgeous dies to create the little frame, and also used my favourite embossing folder - Distressed Tile.

Inside the card folds out to show a bit more of the lovely embossing, and then you open again for the greeting!

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AWESOME inspiration!!

Pretty pretty Wildflower Birthday papers CTC#511

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING the colours of the Wildflower Birthday paper which is soooo pretty!

And I've just played and had a bunch of fun with this paper.  We wer housebound with Cyclone Alfred which gave me time to play in my craft room.

This paper has a sheet of die cut images and also a sheet of printed card fronts which made putting these cards together super easy and really fun.
My inspiration came straight from the catalogue on page 42 of our Mini Catalogue.

I made a bunch of cards swapping up the card base colour to see which I like the best!

The greetings have been stamped onto some of the DSP labels as well using Blueberry Bushel ink.

Isn't it interesting how different the cards look with the darker card base?

And these cards differ in the way I've created the greeting feature.  The words come from the Cake Celebrations stamp set.

And these cards feature the Birthday Celebration stamp set for the greeting - and I tried to make a card that I could use for lots of different occasions and celebrations.

Here they are all together - don't they look cool!!

Up next is the extraordinary Kathryn

Blue Blue Hydrangers for CI#183

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in with the Colour INKspiration crew and our awesome colour combination!!

I just love this image and it acted as a great starting point.  I've flipped the colours though with the gorgeous blues for the hydrangers, and then the crushed curry golden butterfly.

I've been practicing colouring these lovely flowers and this combination of Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushell really looks lovely!!

I added some gold detail with the Gold Open Weave ribbon and the Low Profile dots.

I love the little dotty image in this stamp set, and had a bunch of fun stamping it repeatedly on the front and inside of my card on the edges for a fun bokeh effect.

I've also added colour with blending brushes and a little flicking for the fine splatter.
