Falling Snow is my favourite background stamp CTC#499

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING a project featuring a background idea!!  I went easy, and used my favourite background stamp from the Mini Catalogue - Falling Snow.

Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue  © 2024 page 57

The lovely village frame on the left of the photo above is sooo pretty, and I tried to capture it a little.

My card is a diarama card - basically a box that folds flat to fit into a standard envelope and then pops up to create a scene.

The lovely stamped greeting on the front came from a dear friend as part of my Christmas gift!! What a lovely and practical idea!

The trees on the back come from Peaceful Evergreens stamp set.

The trees on the inside come from the Frosted Forrest stamp and mask set.  The final layer of the mask I used shimmery white embossing paste and then heat set it before it was dry - this made it pop up like snow!!  Doesn't that look AWESOME!!

I suppose I should mention the background stamp too!!  It was heat embossed with white powder onto a Balmy Blue background cardstock - pretty but very simple!!  And my final touch is some silver foil gardlands from the Merriest Trees dies!!

Up next is the extraordinary Rebecca

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of great ideas!
