Time to Celebrate!! Let's Craft Together Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm hopping with an awesome bunch of talented Australian crafters who love sharing with you!!

This month, we are celebrating the new year...... and I thought that my little calendar gift worked perfectly with this theme!!

These are very simple projects (ok the fancy fold is a bit tricky) but the only embellishment is the gorgeous paper and the mini calendars.  But, did you notice this (swoooon) paper?  This is a sneak peek of the gorgeous Floral and Gingham vellum coming up in January in our new mini catalogue.  Oh, and the other paper is the Country Woods paper.

Every year, I make these for my work colleages at my work office.  (Luckily we are a small staff!)

This fun project actually folds flat to go into a standard envelope which is just fabulous!!

The fold is called the Spring Hexagon Box Card fold and I have actually adapted the original to work perfetly with the mini calendars.

Here's the fabulous spring mechanism inside the box that makes it stand up so very nicely!
I have a tutorial of this fold for those who place a minimum order through my  online store.  Let me know if you'd love to receive this tutorial after you place your next order!

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of amazing inspiration just for you!

Love the birds in Winterly Tree Tops CTC#498

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING a project featuring animals and MY card is inspired by the little gift package on the bottom right of page 20 of the Mini Catalogue featured above.

I created a bunch of thankyou cards for customers - so using this great layout worked really well, AND the way the birds can be die cut from the paper really made this card easy too.

I'm also featuring the super lovely Regal Winter paper which gave me a starting point for all the colour schemes for each of the cards.

I hope you're inspired!!
Up next is the extraordinary Rochelle

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of great ideas!
