A Wreath insipired by Stars CTC#496

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING a punch project from either catalogue, and I was really inspired by the fabulous wreath on page 47 of the mini catalogue.

I love the greeting being off to the side of the wreath and the repeat of the shapes all the way around.

To create the wreath, I die cut the two largest Stylish Shapes circles together from some Gold Foil.  I also die cut the same shape from Thick White cardstock to give the wreath more stability and weight.

I then wrapped some Cherry Cobbler ribbon around the foil circle before I adhered both the foil and thick white circles together.  To anchor the ribbon, I tied a gold double bow around it using the lovely gold thread available now in our ONline Exclusive collection.

The flowers and leaves are die cut from the Festive Glimmer Paper using the Country Flowers dies.  I love those dies as they cut a bunch of flowers and leaves all together at the same time which is great!  I added them all around the wreath after I’d added the greeting.  The Blooming Pearls work an absolute treat for the lovely gold highlights on the flowers.

The greeting comes from the Peaceful Season stamp set which is sooo useful for Christmas!!

Up next is the extraordinary Rochelle
