Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.
Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)
This week, we are CASEING a watercolouring technique, and I've been super keen to try the spritzing technique!
I've used Fluid 100 watercolour paper and some gorgeous trees from a stamp set coming VERY SOON in our Mini Catalogue - the stamp set is called Peaceful Evergreens.
I stamped 3 large trees with Old Olive, and then 3 small trees using Garden Green onto the Fluid 100 paper and THEN, I spritzed it like mad using water and our Spritzer!!
I also stamped the Falling Snow stamp set using Basic Beige - so you can't really see it, but it does give a lovely soft effect. I also flicked some Wink of Stella all over the panel after it had dried. THEN, I thought this would be so much fun as a shaker card!! Soooo I created a frame using the Countryside Corners dies, added some window sheet and then foam strips. The Shakers are some loose snowflakes.
Such a super fun card!!! I do like the spritzing technique and I have to say it really does a BRILLIANT job with these tree stamps!!
Up next is the extraordinary Rachel
