Tower Block Fun Fold Christmas Tree - check it out!!

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm hopping with an awesome bunch of talented crafters who love dabbling with folds!!
We are a group of like-minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means "modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way"... so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think 'easel', 'pop-up', 'gatefold', 'z-fold', 'shaped' or 3D cards etc. The list is endless.
All Blog Hops have an 'anything goes' theme using any type of 'funky' card fold.

This month, I have created a Tower Block card that I have converted into a geometric Christmas Tree!

This card is basically a square tube in the middle with panels on every side to create the 'branches'.

I was inspired by a blog post here but I have changed the measurements so that my card fits into a standard envelope when it folds flat.

I have also extended the inside 'tree trunk' to create the Christmas Tree.

To create my tree I've used the Season of Elegance designer paper and the Decorative Trees stamp set.

If you'd like to see how this card is made, check out this video.

The measurements for my card are:
Pecan Pie 10.5 x 14.8 cm scored at 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10cm
Old Olive 12 pieces 4.5 x 5.5cm
Season of Elegance designer paper 8 pieces 4 x 5 cm
Basic Beige 4 pieces 4 x 5 cm
Season of Elegance designer paper 12 pieces 4 x 2.5 cm

Please contact me if you would like the tutorial for this Fun Fold!

I hope you give this one a try!!

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of amazing inspiration just for you!
