Do you love an interactive card? Shaker cards are so fun!! CTC#488

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING a technique in our catalogue and I've had a brilliant time creating shaker cards recently.

I was inspired by the triple window shaker card on page 123 of our Annual Catalogue.

My card features the Thoughtful Journey designer paper along with the Thoughtful Wishes bundle.

These loose champagne iridescent dots make a fabulous noise when you shake the card!!  And the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey paper peeking throught the back looks wonderful!

The Stylish Shapes dies made cutting the 3 windows easy and can you see the lovely texture in the wood grain for the front of the card?  It's just fabulous and is on page 100 of the catalogue and is easily missed!  Oh, and I actually recycled the acetate off our photopolymer stamps for my window sheet detail!

Inside is some simple stamping and the left over designer paper because it's too pretty to waste!

I really hope you'll give this a go one day - shaker cards are just so much fun!!

Up next is the extraordinary Rochelle

Keep hopping to see lots of fantastic projects!!

  1. The 3 windows to showcase the shaker elements are so fun. I love the recycling of the acetate too 😊

  2. You made a beautiful choice Julia, the DSP for the background and the three openings give a delightful glimpse. The cluster of foliage really adds another element to this sweet card.
