Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.
Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)
This week, we are CASEING a sketch from page 25!! I doooo love a good sketch!!
I also love watercolouring so I combined this with our fabulous sketch.
I've used the amazing Stippled Roses for the repeat shape either side of the greeting. And also added a little bit of extra greenery under the coloured images.
I have a little confession to make about my watercolouring. I used the actual packaging from the Fluid 100 paper!! It's actually a bit whiter than the paper itself, but I really just didn't want to waste it. I used it for both the roses, and the embossed panel behind them.
The roses were painted using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Daffodil Delight for the leaves, and the flowers are painted using Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler.
I sponged the centre of the embossed panel using Old Olive and the flicked using a Cherry Cobbler marker. The images were stamped using Saddle Brown Stazon Ink.
Inside the card repeats the same colouring techniques.
Up next is the extraordinary Bec
Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of amazingness! |
