Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.
Tonight I'm hopping with an awesome bunch of talented crafters who love dabbling with folds!!
My fold this month is a pinwheel tower card!! So much fun.
This fun fold is very versatile and really quite easy to do!
My card fits into a standard size envelope when it's folded down.
The fun part of a pinwheel tower card is that you have 4 different 'faces' of the card for embellishment or writing to your recipient.
Can you see the sheen of some shimmery embossing paste? I swished a very fine layer of the paste over the edges of the card. Because I had already using a blending brush and some of the Shaded Spruce ink, the embossing paste picked up the colour and became a gorgeous green!
And to show you the amazing veratility of this fun fold, I created another card for you too!
Theres is less stamping on this one - it relies more on the designer paper and lots of die cuts .
This panel is for the writing for the recipient.
Each of the other panels has different images from the Country Flowers stamp set.
I've also added a couple of images from the Country Birdhouse set.
And I love the way the paper lined up beautifully all around the card! The stripes made it really easy to do this!
Each of the panels is 10.5 cm x 10.5cm and then scored at 3cm on one side of each. Here's a video showing how to create this card I made a long time ago!!
If you'd like the tutorial for this card, please let me know!!
Make sure you keep hopping all the way around to see lots of great ideas!
