Combo Layout for Scrapbooking - check it out!

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today is Scrapbooking Global day!! Each month we share some great inspiration for you1!

This month our fabulous Guest Designer Kate has an awesome theme for us!!

Our theme gave me the great opportunity to scrap a bunch of photos from a fabulous day!!

I created a double spread layout using the same colours and event so there's lots of photos of my project to share with you!!

My pocket page is from retired Stampin' Up! products from a couple of years ago - but boy these make finishing a bunch of photos really quick!

I was able to print my photos together into portrait orientation for the particular layout of this page which made putting lots of photos on the page super easy.

I then die cut a heap of images using the Thoughtful Wishes dies and the Thoughtful Journey paper and then made bunches and words around the page.  These words were mostly from the Saying Something Ephemera packs.

I also incorporated some of the Thoughtful Journey Memories and More cards.  Some of the die cuts were adhered on the outside of the pockets too.

I used a lot of white background for my pocket page to coordinate it with the traditional scrap page which had a base of white.

This page is totally inspired by the amazing Kayla Renee here

I loved the torn edges and the frame work for the images in the middle.

Again I've created clusters using the dies and words from the ephemera packs.

My colours were inspired by the amazing blue sky in my photos - I've used Azure Afternoon and Crumb Cake as well as the Basic White and Thoughtful Journey paper.

My title comes from the Ephemera Pack.  The word 'celebrate' actually was Crushed Curry, which I thought didn't work, so I coloured it with my Azure Afternoon Stampin' Blend (trying to create blue, BUT, it turned green!!!  Which I guess is ok......)

I really hope YOU are inspired to try this!!  This was a first for me, and I really enjoyed it!!
Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AMAZING projects!!
