Focus on Trees! CTC#434

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

This week, we are CASEING a project featuring trees.  I have been inspired by the card featuring the moose on page 43 which is on the top right.  

I don't have any trees in my stamping stash surprisingly, but I've adapted by using the Tropical Leaf punch for the tree details.

The layering was achieved using the Gorgeously Made dies with Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive cardstock.  And then I've fussy cut some of the images using the Zany Zoo designer paper and then coloured them a little using water colour pencils.  

The stamped greetings come from the lovely Pansy Patch stamp set!!

Celebrate 150 Colour INKspiration Challenges!!

Hello and Welcome to our 150th Challenge for Colour Inkspiration!!  

This is an amazing group of crafters inspired by brilliant images and colour!

We have a gorgeous celebration cake to inspire us this week!

I've used all these colours with a fun hostess stamp set coming in our Mini Catalogue to create a spanner card.  The multicoloured die cut word from Want to Say dies flips up to show off the completed image.  

These colours worked perfectly!  

Inside the card I've stamped just the sides of the main image and coloured them to allow room for writing on your card.  

As usual, the greens are the main colours of my card, but I loved making this one!!

Step it up time!! CTC#433

This week, we are CASEING and stepping up a project and there are 3 awesome examples of this type of crafting on pages 33, 56, & 75 of our Annual Catalogue!!  

My project is inspired from page 75.

I've copied the idea of stamping in the background, and added the greeting onto an extra piece of paper in the centre for the simple version with the Stepped Up version including extra layers and ribbon.

I'm featuring some new products coming in our Mini Catalogue starting on the 6th September.

I always love card and envelope kits because the preprinted cards make cardmaking quick and easy!  My stepped up version features die cutting, ribbon and some embellishments.

My simple card features stamping onto the front of the card, and then a greeting in the centre.

I've used Copper Clay, Wild Wheat and Pecan Pie inks.  

The inside of the card is the same for both versions of the card.

Global Scrapbooking Sketch Challenge

Hello and Welcome to our fantastic monthly blog hop Scrapbooking with Stampin' Up!  This is a truely talented group of memory makers and I'm thrilled to be part of this hop!!

This month, our challenge presented by Sharni is a sketch challenge - which I LOVE!

A layout sketch is a fantastic way to get started making a page - I just followed all the little pieces and chose colours according to my photos!!  

I love the background stamping with the text and splodges!!  

(This is a great way to camouflage mistakes!!)

My colours are very neutral for my page (I find it easier with quieter colours) but I love the way it makes the photos pop!

The title is a combination of 2 different sets of dies - this is the part of any page I really struggle with - trying to think of a title!!  

I hope you are inspired to try this challenge too - this was a super fun sketch!
