Scrapping a card layout for our global blog hop

Hello and Welcome to our amazing Global Blog Hop featuring brilliant scrapbooking icons from all over the world!

This month, our challenge is to create a layout from a card... designed by the awesome Sherry!

I've been enjoying some New Sale-a-bration products - and in particular the gorgeous Favored Flowers designer paper.  I had a quiet day fussy cutting 2 complete sheets of this paper ready to get creating - and this is one of the results!!

The card layout features a frame in the centre (from the gorgeous Framed Florets dies); a lovely greeting from the Something Fancy stamp set, and those gorgeous fussy cut blooms from the Favored Flowers Sale-a-bration papers.  The final touch is some super sweet Butterflies.  

So, the frame I constructed for the page layout had to be larger to accommodate my photos, so I cut strips of 1cm cardstock and embossed them using the lovely Cane Weave embossing folder.   The Foam Adhesive strips are absolutely brilliant for these frames.  

I stamped exactly the same greeting from the Something Fancy stamp set using Calypso Coral Ink.

I also stamped another greeting from the He's All That stamp set because my page celebrates Father's Day last year.  The month stamp comes from the Days to Remember stamp set.  You might notice this oval piece came from the frame in the card with the same layout!! No waste!

The rest of my layout used lots of the gorgeous blooms from the Favored Flowers paper on the edges to create a floral frame for my page.  And those gorgeous little Brass Butterflies make the perfect finishing touch.
