Favourite Cottage Rose watercolouring versus Stampin' Blends

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything of to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING our Favourite stamp set.

Now, I have a confession to make.  Choosing a favourite was too hard for me, so I went with what was on my desk.  I recently did a one on one class teaching watercolouring and totally thoroughly enjoyed the watercolouring process with this stunning Cottage Rose stamp set.  So, then I looked at the catalogue to put the flower to good use - and then went in a crazily different direction!!

I've embossed my front panel with the Timber embossing folder and then added ink using my blending brush and Soft Suede ink.

I varied from the original in that my cluster of flowers became only the one with a bunch of die cut Rose Gold leaves behind to make up the volume.  My greeting is also different - I used a Stylish Shapes die which was also given the blending brush/soft suede treatment.

I DO have the large bow detail, because, why wouldn't you??  This ribbon is stunning!!

The inside of my card has the flowers coloured using Stampin' Blends in Sweet Sorbet, Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler - that was so you could compare the difference with the watercoloured flower on the front which was painted using Cherry Cobbler ink.

My final touch is some champagne rhinestones - what do you think????

Up next is the totally amazing Peta and her lovely floral card!!

Have some fun with us and share your project featuring your favourite!!
