Thankyou Rings of Love CTC#384

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING from our Sale-a-bration catalogue!!  This is the last weekend of Sale-a-bration, so we have to make the most of it!!  I've chosen to CASE the layout of the card on the top left of the image on page 8.  The greeting is in the centre of the card, and then foliage is coming from underneath the greeting.  I've used this same layout for a bunch of cards from the Kraft Cards and Envelopes.

Each of my cards feature some of the gorgeous Rings of Love paper and the greeting stamped using Nature's Prints stamp set.

The end of the greeting panel was cut using the scalloped oval from the Double Oval Punch.

I've used the Bough punch for all the foliage under the greeting - and used coordinating colours to the paper.

I've also coloured the flower on the greeting using Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.

Make sure you keep hopping around the amazing group - up next is the awesome Sandra!!

A sunkissed nose and sandy toes Colour INKspiration #128

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge!!

This is a group of amazing creative souls using inspiration images to drive the colour choices.

I really love these colours!!  And the pop of blue is gorgeous!!

I decided to use a new stamp for this challenge!!  This is a perfect Queensland stamp set - Sunkissed.
The background of the image was coloured using Blending Brushes and Tahitian Tide and So Saffron, and then a Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blend for the ocean.  I then added some Wink of Stella for the sheen of the ocean when it's sunny.

My card is quite simple really.  I've stamped the image using Memento Black onto So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Petal Pink cardstock and then fussy cut the images using a paper piecing technique.

The inside of the card was also coloured using some blended Tahitian Tide and So Saffron on the edges, along with the stamped and pieced pelican and shells -just like the front.

Now for some Artistic Expression Inspiration CTC383

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASEING from the Artistic Expression chapter of our Annual Catalogue - pages 90 to 119.

My project was inspired by this card on page 118 featuring a fun background technique.  I think the catalogue uses one colour for the watercolour wash, but I've added a few!!  I've also used a very similar layout to the catalogue inspiration.

My card features the gorgeous Apple Harvest AND a lovely sneak peek at the NEW coordinating Apple Blossoms dies which are coming next month.  Most of this card features these new dies.

The background was created by colouring onto a large stamping block with Stampin' Write Markers - Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party.  I then used a spritzer and water, misted the inked block and stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock.  Doesn't it look pretty!!

I used the left over ink for the edges of the inside of my card too.  Along with some stamping using the Apple Harvest stamp set and Tahitian Tide ink

To create the gorgeous blossoms, I've used the fabulous In Colour Glimmer paper with the dies.  The flowers were die cut from shimmery white cardstock and then painted using a water painter and some Starry Sky colour from the stampin block I used to create the background.  My greeting was created using the Double Oval punch and then I added some gorgeous Tahitian Tide ribbon in a bow - like the catalogue sample!!

Please keep hopping around everyone to see all the great projects!! Up next is the amazing Michelle and her sweet puppy card.

You are invited to share the fun with us too!!  Simply add your project here to our Facebook challenge page.
