Colour Inkspiration Butterflies

Hello and Welcome to our Colour Challenge!!  

Colour INKspiration challenges run twice per month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings - and the inspiration photos and colours are ALWAYS amazing!!

What do these colours say to you????  I would say this is a very challenging colour palatte for me as I'm not in love with purples......but I'm happy to report that I really do love the card I created using this amazing colour inspiration!!

The colours are so feminine and soft, that it worked perfectly with my butterfly card.  I sponged the large butterflies using the new Butterflies & Flowers decorative masks.  Highland Heather is the first layer, and then the detail mask was blended with the Blackberry Bliss.  I used another mask in the set for the Mint Macaron leaves.

Over the lovely sponging with the blending brushes, I then stamped more butterflies from the Sale-a-bration set Catching Butterflies using Blackberry Bliss ink and then coloured with Highland Heather Stampin' Blends.  The inside of the card features the same stamping and the Mint Macaron leaves.  My finishing touches is the lovely Vellum piece for the greeting layered onto Smoky Slate cardstock and some of the stunning mesh ribbon.
