Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.
To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selective Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).
This week we are CASEING a Sketch in our Sale-a-bration Catty.
And my project has flipped the layout sketch on it's side and changed the sizings to suit my card.
This is my attempt at a masculine card - first in a long time!! I had this stamped image from the Amazing Silhouettes on my desk for ages and didn't know what to do with it - until today!! I have watercoloured the tree using Old Olive and Crumb Cake inks and a water painter. This filled in the white silhouette part and created MORE for the tree..... which I liked so much better.
I then sponged the background using Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya using the blending brushes. I also added extra stamping using the Oceanfront stamp set and Mossy Meadow and Cinnamon Cider inks. My finishing touch is some of the absolutely stunning Pebbles Enamel Shapes
Inside my card repeats the same stamping, and the same torn edge as the front. I've added a fun greeting from the Flowing Flowers stamp set. The Happy Birthday on the front comes from Turtle Friends. I initially created this card for my brother's birthday, but I ended up loving it so much that I sent him another card from my stash!!!
Up next is the amazing Michelle!! |

Absolutely lovely card, and I can understand you wanting to hang onto it a while longer.
ReplyDeleteWow, Julia what a wonderful card, I love how you got the shading on this stamp.
