Abstract Beauty Inspiration CTC#354

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

This week, we are CASEING from the Abstract Beauty Suite from the Mini Catalogue.

My inspiration has come from the colours in the bright and fun Abstract Beauty paper - these colours are:  Magenta Madness, Blushing Bride, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Just Jade & Night of Navy.

As bright colours are in my non-comfort zone, I've decided small amounts of colour with a lot of white in the background works perfectly for me!!  So my stamp of choice is Sentimental Swirls which is full of fun simple images and fill in stamps.  My card is all about #simplestamping.

The background was sponged using the Crushed Curry and a blending brush and then I've stamped the large swirl with the Just Jade, and added all the other bits and pieces!!  My finishing touch is the awesome Iridescent rhinestones.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of awesomeness.  Up next is the amazing Sandra!!

And please share your project inspired by the Abstract Beauty here on our Facebook Challenge page!!

Inspiration from Sale-a-bration CTC#353

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).

This week we are CASEING from our Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

My project is inspired by the little square project on the Friendly Hello landing page - 13.

My card is a standard size, but with the same square feature in the middle.  Instead of the gold frame, I've substituted one of the new doilies flipped over to the reverse side which is white.

These flowers were fussy cut from the Friendly Hello paper - easy peasy!!!

The only stamping is the greeting and some leaves stamped directly onto the doily.  I've used Granny Apple Green and Memento Black to coordinate with the papers I've used.  What do you think of this combination of Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green???

Make sure you keep hopping to see all the awesomeness!!  Up next is the amazing Sandra!

Decorative Borders Scrapping

Hello and Welcome to our Monthly Scrapbooking Blog Hop!!

This group of international scrappers is totally amazing!!  This month, the theme was chosen by the wonderful Sherry, and her theme is Decorative Borders.

Sooooo, I've pulled out the Eden Dies - which are ALL about borders and edging!!  They come in a bundle called Eden's Garden - you'll love it, and the 10% discount for buying the bundle!!

The main decorative border for my page was created with 4 x 3/4" strips of 12"  Cinnamon Cider stamped using the Birch stamp set and Cinnamon Cider ink.  I mitred the corners to make it look like a frame.

I've also stamped one of the images from Eden's garden randomly around the edges to add another decorative border - I used Old Olive and stamped off first before stamping on the page.

My 2 little journaling labels also feature a decorative border from the Rectangles Dies stitched detail

My final two little decorative additions were some cut edges of the lovely doilies now available in the mini catalogue - (aren't they awesome!! ) and some Brushed Metallic dots on the main label of the page.

Here's how I created my page:

Make sure you keep hopping around everybody - you'll see so many great ideas.  Up next is the fabulous Heike from Germany!
