Butterfly Brilliance

Hello and Welcome!
I've been having a wonderful time playing with butterflies, and I'd love to share this card with you too!!  My card features Misty Moonlight and Boho Indigo paper along with the gorgeous Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and the Brilliant Wings dies.

I've added some Wink of Stella to the butterflies on the front of the card for some sparkle, along with the bling from some rhinestones, and some wrapped Misty Moonlight bakers twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon pack.

I've made a little video creating this card so you can make one too!!  Here it is:

If you love the look of this card, you can create one very similar with the great Butterfly Bouquet bundle which you can purchase here through my online store.

Easter for CTC#311

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

This week, we are CASEING an Easter project from either our Annual Catalogue or the Mini Catalogue.  I've taken my inspiration from the middle card in the image above - and CASED the entire layout.

My starting point for colours comes from my religious Easter experience, and the colours of Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of our Lord, which are usually white and gold in my church.

I've mimicked the brickwork background, the specialty paper across the centre and the wreath with the greeting centred.  I've used the Layering Circles dies to create the wreath shape, and then used the mistletoe image from the Christmas Layers dies for the leafery.  The flowers on the original have been changed to butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies which represent transformation which is what I believer Easter is all about.

For the inside of the card I repeated the Brick and Mortar embossing along with some more of the gorgeous Golden Garden acetate and another gold foil butterfly.  The greetings on the front and inside come from the Timeless Tulip stamp set and I think they work perfectly.

The final touch is a bunch of metallic pearls around the wreath.  I do love the gold and white colouring.

Up next is the uber talented Siobhan and her Easter inspired project.  Make sure you keep hopping all the way around to see all the amazing projects from the team!!

You are invited to join in the challenge with us too and share your Easter project!!  It's easy to add your photo to the line up on our Facebook challenge page.

Retiring Incolours for Social Stamping

Hello and Welcome to our fun blog hop to celebrate Social Stamping!  This group was formed by the wonderful Kelly Kent to enable us to share and inspire you while we're all still socially distancing.

Click HERE to go to the Host for the list of everyone in the hop (in case you get lost on the way!)  You won't want to miss any of the amazing creations!  This month we are celebrating the retiring In colours - Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile and Purple Posy.

I've paired these lovely colours with the Jar of Flowers stamp set, the Jar punch and also some touches of the Butterfly Wishes stamp set.

I've really gone for a very simple look with my card this time - it's a basic easel card with the jar of flowers featuring as the central element.  I've coloured the flowers with Stampin' Blends and Markers.

The jar was stamped onto vellum using Seaside Spray ink and then punched using the lovely Jar punch.

I've also used the Timeless Label punch and the Butterfly punch for my card.

UP next is the inspiring Lisa

And head to the blog host if you want to check back at any of the amazing projects on our hop this month!!

Have you had a chance to see what's on special??  Some things have sold out already!! Head to my online store to see some awesome bargain!!

Easter colours for Colour INKspiration #96

Hello and Welcome to our stunning challenge for Colour INKspiration!!

This is a brilliant challenge based on some gorgeous images from Pinterest converted to our amazing Stampin' Up! colours.

Our colours this time are:  Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green.  And the image has a little hint for Easter!!

I've used the vase of flowers for my inspiration - and with almost ALL the Stampin' Up! pinks, how could you choose anything else?????  My stamp set is the lovely Art Gallery with the coordinating Floral Gallery dies.  All of these flowers feature some 2 step stamping with the light and dark colours to give the flowers more depth and interest.

Inside the card features a couple of the smaller flowers in the Art Gallery stamp set.

The front panel of the card was also embossed with the subtle embossing folder for a little extra interest, and the greeting on the front comes from Enjoy the Moment stamp set.
