A Double Spread Scrapbooking Challenge

Hello and Welcome to my entry for the Double Page Spread Challenge with Scrapbooking Global this month.

This was the page map we used for the challenge - I had to tweak it a little to accommodate my photos, but hopefully you can see the inspiration for my page.

I love joining in challenges for my scrapbooking because it really helps get me started on creating!! This group is great because we use all Stampin' Up! products!!

Usually I use the photos as my starting point for the colours and images I choose for my pages, however, for this page I wanted to use the Snowflake Splendor Paper and show how it can be used for things other than Christmas!!

The colours in the paper then lead me to the colours I've used for my page which are:  Purple Posy for the page base, and then Mint Macaron, Pool Party and Highland Heather.

I wouldn't normally add flowers to a page about walking beside the river, but I really was using the page map as my inspiration, so I've used the lovely Bloom and Grow stamp set for the embellishment clusters,

and then the gorgeous tree from Life is Beautiful as my feature element on the right hand side.  Underneath all the floral elements are some of the gorgeous Gold Foil laser cut specialty paper which I've flipped over to the white side.

I actually surprised myself and really love how soft and sweet this page is, and I think the softness actually makes the photos stand out!!

You might be able to see that under all the embellishment clusters, I've stamped the dotty images from the top of the tree - just to make it look a bit more artistic!!!

My final touch was some sweet sequins and ribbon details here and there.

You can check out some more brilliant scrapping ideas if you head to this great group on Facebook!!

Hello Sunshine kit for Scrapbook Challenge

Hello and Welcome to a fun challenge with Scrapbooking Global.

This is a one page challenge using this scrap map.

I've used the wonderful Hello Sunshine Paper Pumpkin Kit for every single piece of my page!!

All of the images are part of the kit.  The cards were cut and used for the patterned paper in the background along with the dotty self adhesive pieces.  Even the gorgeous yellow tissue paper was used for the background of the page!!

The stamped images are included in the kit along with the all embellishments.  I've even used an envelope to frame one of my photos, and the other photo is mounted onto the label panel that comes in the kit too.

The ONLY part of this page that does not come from the kit is the 12" x 12" white page!!

The Scrapbooking Global group has some amazing inspiration on their Facebook page - and I find it so motivational to join in the challenges to get my pages done!

The Hello Sunshine kit is still available and includes EVERYTHING you need to make 8 cards including stamps, ink,  adhesive, envelopes and all images.  You only need a clear block for stamping.  Head to my online store now to see it and purchase your kit.

CTC#287 caseing leaves and trees from the Mini Catalogue.

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY!!

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week we are CASING a leaf or tree project from the Mini Catalogue.

August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue  page 22  all images © Stampin' Up! ®

I was inspired by these super cute cards on page 22 featuring the amazing stamp set Tree Angle.

I went the easy way and CASED the layout of the cards.  I've use the lovely Detailed Dove suite for my card combined with some of the gorgeous Plush Poinsettia paper.

Inside the card is some simple stamping featuring a lovely verse from the same stamp set.

The elements I have CASED for my card include the background texture, the stitched rectangle for the greeting in the top right of the card, the folded ribbon under the greeting, and the rhinestones as extra texture and interest.

I hope you're inspired to look at our catalogue with new eyes.  There are a lot of amazing projects featuring trees and leaves!!

Up next is the wonderful  Peta and her lovely project.

We would love you to share your creative projects inspired by the leaves and trees in our Mini Catalogue too.  Just add your project to the lineup on our Facebook Challenge page here!!

Social Stamping Baby Theme

Hello and Welcome to a lovely blog hop for Social Stamping!

The amazing Kelly Kent began the Social Stamping Blog Hop as a way for all of us to connect during this stressful year of changes.  It has been a wonderful way to share inspiration and ideas.  If you would like to see the whole list of the blog hop, just click on the above image to head to the host post.

This month, the theme is Baby.  And happily, there has been a brand new arrival in my inner circle of friends, so I totally had their new little family in mind when I created this cute card!!

This card is a Z-fold with a cot nestled into the corner of the card.  The ends of the cot were created with the Scallop Tag Topper punch for the top, and a bit of the Storybook label punch for the shaped legs.  The cot itself is a box stamped with the reversible side of the straw from the Jar of Flowers stamp set to represent the bars of the cot.

The writing panel for the card is on the back and stamped with images from Tasteful Touches, Butterfly Gala and Many Mates stamp sets using Blushing Bride.

The front of the card features a panel of embossed card with the Tin Tile folder, letters die cut using the Playful Alphabet dies, a balloon created with the Plush Poinsettia paper and punch and some cute butterflies from Butterfly Gala.

This card folds flat to fit inside a standard envelope - win win!!

UP next on the Baby hop is the lovely Lisa.

And if you get lost on the way, just click here to go back to the Blog Host for the list of everybody on the hop!!

Colour INKspiration amazing colour challenge!!

Hello and Welcome to this gorgeous Colour Challenge!!

Our challenges are inspired by some gorgeous images from Pinterest which feature some of our wonderful Stampin' Up! colours.

The colours this time are Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana and Shaded Spruce, and I love them!!

The stamp sets I've used for my project are:  Forever Fern and Beautiful Birthday.  The paper in the background is from the gorgeous Whale of a Time papers.

Inside the card features a few layers of the colours and some simple stamping.

I've created a shadow for the greeting by stamping and embossing with White, and Pacific Point onto the Painted Labels die cut Coastal Cabana piece.  My final touch is a knot of the Wonder of the Season ribbon pack and some Iridescant Pearls.
