To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues which are full or amazing inspiration.
This week, the challenge is to CASE a project from our Mini Catalogue and to give it a masculine twist!! This is a great challenge because sometimes it's a bit trickier to find inspiration for the cards for men!!
My inspiration came from the front cover! The card at the top with the Designer Series Paper featured along with the central greeting and embellishment panel really appeals to me.
For my masculine card I've used some of the fun Golden Honey Sale-a-bration paper and stamped along the edge using a favourite from the Rooted in Nature stamp set - this stamp set really is a great gender neutral stamp set and so useful for lots of occasions too! I trimmed along the edge of leaves to create a scalloped edge as per my inspiration card, and then mounted the panel over the top of some of the new 2nd release Sale-a-bration Designer vellum! Isn't that embossed texture lovely!!
The inside of the card features more of those wonderful leaves!!
I've stamped the large tree using Sahara Sand, and then coloured in the leaves using my Soft Sea Foam Stamping Blend to give it some more depth.
Up next on our 2nd week of masculine inspiration is the amazing Tina! Enjoy! Make sure you also keep hopping all the way around the team to get lots of awesome inspiration for those challenging guy cards!!
We love it when you join in the fun with us too! It's easy to add your masculine project inspired by the Mini catalogue to our lineup on our facebook challenge page!

What an elegant card!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove how you have stamped the leaves along the edge of the DSP then trimmed around them to create the scalloped edge.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Julia, the stamping on the DSP looks great. I love the effect of the frayed ends on the burlap trim.
