Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.
To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from the amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.
This week, we are CASEING from the Annual Catalogue but using Holiday Catalogue supplies.
I was inspired by this lovely Cherry Cobbler Christmas Card featuring the Bloom and Grow stamp set. I wanted to CASE the colours and gold highlights - and the white space in the colouring.
But I have a secret to tell you - I didn't read the brief properly and I didn't CASE a layout!! I've used the inspiration as a starting point for my creation and just realised NOW that I've messed up!! ARRRGH!!
Well, here's what I have created anyway.... with a thousand apologies to the design team!!
I've created a Tiny Keepsake Box using Cherry Cobbler cardstock and added some visual interest with the Golden Glitz ink and the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks.
I added the holly - my favourite stamp from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set - which has been coloured using the Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends. I also stamped the greeting, fussy cut them both and attached to my little gift box!!
Make sure you keep hopping all the way around - the team always has lots of amazingness to share with you!! Up next is Rebecca and her stunning cardinal.
And please join in the fun with us - the challenge is pretty wide this time and easy for everyone! (Especially if you read the challenge properly! Unlike what I did!!!)
PS. you only have 1 more day to grab yourself an awesome paper bargain! Go to my website and place your order tonight so you don't miss out!!!
A great little box that anyone would love to receive (don’t worry about not CASEing a layout, it’s a beautiful case of the colours!)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of the gold ink with the mask pattern. This is such a cute box and a cool CASE. I'm sure you're well and truly forgiven for not quite reading the challenge correctly!!
ReplyDeleteJulia the rebel!! That's the great thing about these challenges, the rules are a guide and you have cased a layout really, and given it your own twist. Fabulous little project it is too! Love the gold ink on the Cherry Cobbler and that holly leaf is a perfect pairing x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of the masks! And the gold ink is so nice!! And you've convinced me I need those dies.
