Hello and Welcome to our amazing colour inspired challenge for CASEING the CATTY Sunday Night Blog Hop.
To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything, and we use our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues for our weekly challenges to CASE!!
This week, the challenge is to use the Colour Scheme of the amazing Pressed Petals DSP. These colours are: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Rococo Rose, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.
So...... I have used them ALL! Some are incredibly miniscule in my project (that's true!!) but, the challenge was there!!
I've used the sweet Magnolia Blooms stamp set which is featured in our Experience Creativity beginner catalogue. I love the smaller flower and the greetings in this set! Perfect for so many events!! The bloom has been heat embossed in gold and then coloured with an aquapainter using Rococo Rose and Daffodil Delight inks on the flower and Mossy Meadow for the leaves I've then added highlights using the Merry Merlot Marker for the centre of the flower and a Night of Navy Marker on the shadow of the leaves. The colour is MINISCULE, but it's there!!!
The inside of the card was stamped with more of the Pear Pizzazz leaves from the front, and then the bud stamped and wateroloured in the corner.
The card base is Very Vanilla with a pair of stitched rectangles in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede to feature the sweet fussy cut flower.
And while we're celebrating the awesomeness of the Pressed Petals DSP, here's my project to use those lovely flowers I made for last week's project!! This project also features most of the colours from our challenge this week - but not Night of Navy. The flowers were created using the Hot Air Balloon punch with Petal Pink cardstock, which was then sponged using Merry Merlot.
The background of my sign is another of the delicious patterns from the Pressed Petals DSP. I die cut 2 lots of the letters from the Hand Lettered Prose dies - one in Very Vanilla and the top layer in the Merry Merlot - so they stood out better. I have decided after doing this that I think I like fussy cutting more than I like glueing!!
Up next this week is a wonderfully elegant card from Peta. You'll love all the projects by our team so make sure you keep hopping all the way around the circle!!!
How about joining the fun with us? Check out these colours and see how creativity flows!! Then you can easily add a photo of your project to our lineup on our facebook challenge page!!
I am amazed you managed to include all the colours on your card without it being overwhelming, Julia. Those tiny little subtle touches of colour you've added look so beautiful, the colouring on the flower is gorgeous. You've even managed to add some gold into the mix!! Fabulous projects.
