The last favourite!! CTC#230

Hello and Welcome to another fabulous Blog Hop and challenge for CASEING the CATTY.

We love to CASE - which means to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit from our Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week we are CASEING our favourite Big Shot project.
What a huge choice we have for this week!!

I have CASED this fun card above from page 50  featuring Jar of Love and the Softly Falling embossing folder.

With my continuing journey scrapbooking, I've CASED the card into a scrapbook page.  It's a pretty close CASE with only the addition of the fun daisies and change in colour to Lemon Lime Twist which is soon retiring!!

This Jar of Love stamp set and framelit is one of my absolute favourites - the image of the 'love' and sequins flying out of the jar is sooooo cute!!

As my page looked a little empty with only the jar, I've added a few fun daisies and greenery coming from the Pretty Pins thinlits.

This lovely Daisy punch is carrying over into the new catalogue which is just awesome!! There's a new smaller daisy to coordinate with it too, which is so great.

Did you notice the little scored detail around the edge of the central panel?  On the inspiration card, this detail was achieved with stitching.  What a lovely way to add more interest.

I hope you've been inspired too!  We have some pretty awesome projects inspired by our Big Shot illustrations this week.  Make sure you hop through the whole design team as we share our inspiration with you.

Up Next is the lovely Tina and her BigShot project CASE.

You are invited to create a new project inspired by your favourite Big Shot project, and then add it to our facebook challenge page here.

Floral Inspiration for Colour INKspiration #56

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge and blog hop!!

Check out this gorgeous cake for our inspiration picture!!!
Image may contain: flower, plant, text and food

We are inspired by so many amazing images and colours from Pinterest, and this week the colours are:  Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, Garden Green.

I'm still scrapbooking, and these colours with their stunning photo were the perfect inspiration!!

I've used the lovely Floral Frames stamp set and a couple of flowers from the Jar of Love stamp set.

The background elements for the floral clusters were created using Sparkle glimmer paper and the coordinating framelits Foliage Frames.  The paler flowers you can see above were coloured using ink and an aquapainter.  This was the first flower bunch I coloured, and then I decided that would take too long for the quantity I wanted, so coloured all the others using the markers!!  So much quicker!!

I've also used the Detailed Floral thinlits for a bit more background detail.  The stamping on the Floral Romance DSP comes from Jar of Love.

I hope you've been inspired by the fun colours this time in our challenge.
(pssst, I will tell you a secret.... I am so NOT a pink person, but I love the flower clusters on my page!!  Just goes to show the amazing creations possible when doing a challenge!! because using Melon Mambo is ALWAYS a challenge for me!! teehee)

I hope you're inspired too!!  We have some totally gorgeous projects from the whole design crew (as always!!) and I'm sure you'll be amazed with every creation on the hop!!

Up next is Leonie's GORGEOUS card using these colours - I love what she's created!!!

After you've completed the hop and done a full circle, grab out your colours above and get creating.  We'd love you to join in the fun with us on our facebook challenge page!!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

Retiring Punches for CTC#229

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge.

Our Challenge is about CASEing the Catty.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to inspire you with our Stampin' Up! catalogues as we CASE from the amazing variety of projects illustrated.
No photo description available.

This week, we are CASEing our favourite retiring Punch.  We have only 2 more weeks left of our current Catalogue, so we're making the most of the remaining time to say a fond farewell and hurrah to our favourites!!

I actually didn't have too many of my punches retiring, but these 2 are a couple of my favourites - the Fox Builder Punch and the Banner Duet Punch.  I really love the quick way the Banner Duet Punch adds a little greeting to a project, and the Fox Builder Punch is just too adorable!!

I've cased the card at the top left of the photo above from page 87 featuring the two cute little cats, and the card on the right in the photo below from page 56 with a fun way to use the banner punch.

And you may notice that I'm still on my quest to scrap lots of pages!!!

The Banner Punch element of my page is at the top left of the page and the little cats at the bottom.

My photos feature a cut little puppy so I had to add an extra little critter using the Fox Builder Punch.

The title of my page was inspired by tag arrangement for the banner card.  I've added a stamped background using the Hardwood stamp set - another absolute favourite that's retiring at the end of this month!!!  I've added some extra detail using the metallic brads and corrugated elements heart shape.

This little heart dialogue box is sooo sweet, and says everything for a page  featuring our children!!

Up next is the lovely Peta who has also been inspired by the same punch as I have!!

Would you like to join in too?  Get creating a brand new project featuring your favourite retiring punch and add it to our facebook challenge page!!

Until Next Week,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

Hopping for Kelly's Birthday!! Yay!

Hello and Welcome to a super fun birthday blog hop to celebrate Kelly!!

No photo description available.

In honour of Kelly's birthday I have CASED her fun fold!  She has the details and card measurements  for this card on her blog post here!!

I am also sharing my new favourite stamp set from my Stampin' Up! preorder for the new catalogue which goes live on the 4th of June.  It is a hostess stamp set called New Wonders, and it has 11 adorable stamps including 3 images of these super sweet little fairies.

I've created a couple of these cards with varying hair colour - one of them is for my daughter's birthday coming up, and so after I'd created the little blond fairy, I had to make a brunette to coordinate with my darling girl!!

The images are coloured with watercolour pencils and then I've added the Clear Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.  And THEN, I decided it need MORE sparkle so I spritzed some Champagne Shimmer Mist (mixed with rubbing alcohol) all over the card -inside and out!!

I've also featured 2 of our new incolours for the cardstock - Seaside Spray and Purple Posy.  The stitched frame images have been mounted onto Gray Granite for a subtle finish.

I hope you've enjoyed the blog so far!! Keep hopping all the way around and you'll see lots of amazingness and fun as we celebrate Kelly.
