SUO challenges - Kids and Babies!!

Hello and Welcome to our super fun challenge for SUO Challenges.

Our challenges are all about using Stampin' Up! Only products - just to inspire you with the amazing versatility!!

Our challenge this fortnight is all about Kids and Babies!

This is a super cute card that I've made before, but I wanted to use the new stamp set Little Elephant to create it again!!

Little Elephant Clear-Mount Bundle

It has an awesome punch that works an absolute treat with it!!  And when you purchase these as a bundle, you get a 10% discount!!

Originally, my inspiration for this card came from Bronwyn Eastley at addINKtive designs  She has some pretty amazing and inspirational ideas and tutorials.

I've done this card in three different colours ways - Blushing Bride, Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam.  These will be for sale at my market stall in a couple of weeks time!!

I've used Little Elephant, and also Thoughtful Banners for my stamp sets.  I've created a little banner above the head of the cot for the name of the little baby who receives the card!

The cot is created using the scallop tag topper punch and the darling label punch for the ends of the cot, and then the body of the cot is just a hollow box stamped with the stripe from Thoughtful Banners.

The card folds flat for easy mailing too!!

Here are all my little cots waiting to be stuck into their z fold cards!!  The measurements for the box part of the cot is 4cm x 29.7cm scored at 5cm, 14cm, 19cm, 28cm.
The ends of the cot are each 3" x 2" and punched at the top and bottom to give detail.
The card base is 29.5cm x 10.5cm and scored at 14.5cm and 22cm.

Imperial measurements are not my strength, but they could be - card base 11 5/8" x 4 1/8" scored at 5 3/4" and 8 5/8". White cot piece would be 11 3/4" x 1 5/8" scored at 2", 5 1/2", 7 1/2" and 11".

I hope you're inspired to join in the fun with us at SUO Challenges!!  Just head to our blog to see the other awesome projects from the rest of the design team, and add your contribution to the lineup!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

You Make a Difference for Graceful Glass chapter CTC#193

Hello and Welcome to CASEING the CATTY Sunday Night Blog Hop!

Our challenge is to use the Stampin' Up! catalogue as inspiration for projects and then to encourage you to join in the challenge with us too!!

Image may contain: text

This week, we are CASEING (Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit) from the Graceful Glass chapter of the Annual Catalogue.  This is the last chapter of the Annual Catalogue and what an absolute beauty!!  It's full of some amazing inspiration and gorgeous images.

Eventually, I decided to share my inspiration from the Share What you Love suite on page 176.  This is a beautiful page and the suite has some lovely images and wonderful sentiments.

The first project to catch my eye was the lovely card on the bottom left of the page.  I thought this sentiment would be perfect for a scrap page (I'm really on a mission at the moment - so I can really see a Scrap Page Title in almost everything!!!  teehee).

This title was created by stamping every letter individually using the Making a Difference stamp set.  While it takes a little bit of time, it's actually quite easy to stamp the words because the font is sooooo easy to work with AND the stamp set is photopolymer and so lining up is a breeze!! The embossed panel in the background of the title has been swiped with the Whisper White ink pad to highlight the embossing, but it's a bit tricky to see in the photo.

The second lovely element on my page was inspired by the card directly above the original inspiration on the left of the photo.  Can you notice the two tone stamping on the sentiment?  It's been inked with Petal Pink first and then some Calypso Coral sponged over the bottom half of the sentiment.  My flag behind the doily is a little narrower than the original - this is all I have left of this DSP!!  I've just LOVED the designs and colours, but especially, I've loved the card stock weight of this DSP.  It's perfect for cards, book marks, gift boxes - everything really!!

My tiny bit of journalling was inspired by the 'hello' card illustrated right in the very centre of the layout on page 176.  I've added a lovely Stitched Label shape for the journalling panel.

I've also been inspired by the total photo layout, and added some Wood Textures DSP, some Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut DSP, and some pearls behind my photos and feature embellishments.  I've been sharing lots of inspiration for scrapping using the catalogue in my last few posts - and I've really loved the process of using lots of card ideas on each page!!!

Up next is the lovely Rebecca sharing her fabulous project inspired by the Graceful Glass chapter!  Be sure to hop around the whole team, there is an amazing array of gorgeousness to inspire you and to help you look at the catalogue again and again!!

You are always invited to join the challenge with us too!!  It's easy to add your photo to our facebook challenge page and you'll see lots more ideas there too!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

Some Masculine Colours for Colour INKspiration #40

Hello and Welcome to our fantastic challenge with colour INKspiration #40!!

The colours this time are Early Espresso, Old Olive, and Gorgeous Grape.  I know these colours have been a challenge to many on the design team this time!!  I instantly saw 'masculine' when looking at these colours and picture AND I have a customised order for a Masculine birthday card to create AND Father's Day in Australia is only a week and a half away!!  This challenge was absolutely perfect timing for me!!

I've been very literal with the Gorgeous Grape colour here!!! teehee.  Tuscan Vineyard is a stamp set that I haven't used for simply ages, so it was really lovely to enjoy it's beautiful images.
Tuscan Vineyard Clear-Mount Stamp Set
I've watercoloured the grapes with Old Olive and Gorgeous Grape inks, and then added highlights with these same colours in the Water colour pencils!!  I also used the Early Espresso watercolor pencil for highlights on my carafe image which was stamped in Early Espresso too.

If you look really really closely you might be able to see the white embossed element in the bottom corner of the Vanilla which has also been enhanced with the Subtle embossing folder.

The inside of the card has the same images stamped and coloured again - no fussy cutting this time, I just masked the grapes and stamped the bottles behind.

The early espresso worked a treat to create a little watercoloured shadow under the grapes!

Here's the customised card ready to go with an added number for a very significant age birthday!!

I hope you've been inspired to have a go with these colours too.  Make sure you hop around the whole design team to see the amazing work from everyone with this challenging colour combination.

We would love you to join in the fun with us too - you can easily add your project using these colours to our facebook challenge page here.

Until Next Time
