CTC#174 Hostess/Memories & More inspiration

Hello and Welcome to some wonderful CASEING the CATTY inspiration for another week.

We are a team of designers using the Stampin' Up! catalogues for a starting point for Copying And Sharing Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit from the awesome projects filling every page.

This week, the focus is on our Hostess pages and the Memories and More chapters.

I'm incredibly grateful for the challenge this week, because it was the starting point for an amazingly productive weekend scrapping!!  I finished up creating 6 pages!!!  I'm amazed.

My first page drew from these images on page 192 of the Annual Catalogue featuring the Petal Garden Memories and More Pack.  In the end, I cased the WHOLE PHOTO layout, and not just the 2 smaller pages - including using the little card on the bottom left as part of my page.

Buoyed with my successful first page, I then embarked on a journey using the next picture featuring Perfect Days at the top of page 192.

I created both of these layouts fairly faithfully - only  using 12 x 12 paper instead of the pockets.

And so I've ended up with a double layout using the Perfect Days Memories and More Cards.

I then decided (by this time I'm totally on a roll!!) to CASE the Memories and More page from the Occasions Catalogue page 24.

My page is far simpler (I'm making lots of pages here - need to be quicker and simpler to maintain the momentum teehee!!).  I've substituted washi tape for the gorgeous texture at the top and bottom of the page.

All the products in this page are predominantly retired goods - Marina Mist, Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Bundle of Love DSP.  The greeting comes from the Mini Treat Bags framlits - also retiring.

Next, I saw a bunch of cutouts and offcuts on my desk from the Perfect Days double layout, soooooooo, I threw them together to create another quick page and stamped some extra interest with High Tide stamp set.  Using the frames left over was a fun way to create extra interest on my page.  I didn't even grab any extra cardstock to stamp the lighthouse - it was stamped on another offcut - you can see the Memories and More card detail under the stamping!!

My last page for this weekend features the super sweet Hello Lovely DSP and some MORE of the Perfect Days cards.  It's amazing the different colour ways that are possible with just this one Memories and More card pack.  I love this versatility!!

THANKYOU to you if you stayed with me through this epic blog post and days of scrapping!!

Now it's time for you to hop over and see Peta's stunning card featuring a sample that is very popular with the team this week.

And please add your projects inspired by our Hostess pages or Memories and More pages to our lineup on our facebook page.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

  6. Wow.... What making pages you have created. The last one is my favourite... I think it's all those punched elements in the background, so much work getting all those spaces right! Great use of the card packs too.

  7. The blog post had to be epic to match the pages! Way to go Julia. You need to share with me how you get yourself organised and print the photos to scrap (my biggest hurdle)

  8. Thank you Megan. Yes I agree, the biggest hurdle really is printing off the photos and making choices. I still have lots left from the print run too..... So each time I try to be more realistic, and every time I still print too many!! The more I do it, the better I get!!
