What's my favourite Occasions project? CTC#176

Hello and Welcome to another fun Sunday Night Blog Hop with CASEING the CATTY.

We are a design team specialising in Caseing our Stampin' Up! Catalogues where we Copy And Share Everything, or Copy And Selectively Edit the projects featured in every awesome catalogue.

No automatic alt text available.

This week, we are CASEING our Favourite Project from the Occasions Catalogue - which is due to retire at the end of May.

If you follow me, you will know that I'm currently on an epic scrapbooking journey, and so I've cased this lovely scrapbook layout from page 49.

My page background is a sheet of Peekaboo Peach - due to retire soon!!
However, all of the other products featured on my page are from the NEW Share What You Love Bundle available for you during May.

The stamping is done with Tranquil Tide and a NEW Colour - Grapefruit Grove.  These lovely flowers, the page title and the background colour wash all come from the lovely Share What You Love stampset.  You can also see some of the gorgeous Artisan Pearls, Pearlised Doilies, and the little floral embellishment from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.

The lovely bakers twine and paper clip at the top of the page are also from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.

My page is almost identical to the original, but the changes in colours and the addition of the Share What You Love speciality DSP really make it a totally different page!!!

I hope you've been inspired!! Now it's time for you to hop along and see Peta's stunning box!!

We would love for you to share your case of your favourite project out of our Occasions Catalogue too.  It's easy to add your photo to our lineup on the facebook page.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia    x

Super Pretty Patterns for Colour INKspiration #32

Hello and Welcome to another awesome inspirational colour combination from Colour INKspiration challenges!!

No automatic alt text available.

Our colours this time feature:  Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Gold Foil.

As well as being inspired by these colours, I've also using the great patterns in the photo.  I've used the (now retiring) Work of Art stamp set to add all those great chevrons and spots.

The gold foil elements come from the Love Today Planner Kit on page 12 of the Annual Catalogue.
I tend not to use many stickers in my planner - it's FULL of notes, and bookings, and deadlines, and ideas, and LISTS!!  So, there's not much room for the pretty stuff!!

I absolutely LOVED using them on my page though!!
I'm lucky my daughters school uniforms coordinated beautifully with these colours!!  teehee  😍

The extra embellishments are a gold doily, some enamel shapes and a bit of gingham ribbon.

Now it's time for you to keep hopping along to see Rachel's gorgeous card inspired by the jar!.  Make sure you keep hopping - you'll LOVE all of the work by the team! It's such a joy to be part of such stamping royalty!!

Please join in the fun and add your project using these colours into the lineup on our facebook challenge page.  We love to see the amazingness inspired by these colour challenges!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia  x

Colouring In is so awesome!! SUO#198

Hello and Welcome to another fun challenge with SUO Challenges - using Stampin' Up! only products.

Image may contain: food

We are inspiring and challenging you to share Colouring Skills!!

My project features the super sweet Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes, Watercolour Pencils and the now retiring Rose Wonder stamp set.

I have stamped the image using our Basic Gray archival ink - it gives a lovely softer finish for the image (and it's also retiring in the archival ink form, and returning as our Classic Ink).

Once I placed watercolour pencil around all the 'darker' areas of the image, I then used my aqua painter to drag the colour around to create a soft watercolour image.

So the finished image has the deepest colour where the petals are more shaded under the other petals, and is very light at the outside edge.

These little thank you notes are so handy to have ready to go - I made 15 of them and popped some into my handbag ready to go for when I need them!!

There is always somebody to thank!

I hope you've been inspired by our colouring challenge and that you will join in the fun too!  Head to our blog to see the amazing lineup from the design team - so many talented people sharing their awesomeness with all of us!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

Apron of Love for some Big Shot Love CTC#175

Hello and Welcome to the wonderful world of the CASEING the CATTY Sunday Night Blog Hop!!

We are a design team focussing on the catalogue samples for Stampin' Up! - and challenging you to look at the catalogues with new eyes and be inspired all over again every week!!

Image may contain: text

This week, we are featuring our favourite Big Shot project from the Occasions Catalogue.

My inspiration comes from the Apron of Love bundle featured on page 47.

This beautiful duo of Stamp Set and coordinating framelits will carry over into our New Annual Catalogue beginning on 1st June 2018 - so....... I've used a BRAND NEW BUNDLE which is also one of the new exciting suites in the New Catalogue.  The Share What You Love bundle features some awesome stamp sets, embossing folder, papers, Designer Series Paper and embellishments. (psst, you can order it next month - EARLY!!)

My projects are featuring the lovely Share What You Love DSP and embellishments.

This is my favourite card - a direct CASE of the daffodil delight card in the photo.

The cute little box also features an older stamp from Workshop Words Too and it has the lovely new twine from the Share What You Love embellishment kit as the gift item.

I tried to create a masculine card here.... but I think it's not quite there!!  😊

And my last card is an original!  I had some left over apron pieces, so I threw them onto a card AND I wanted to use the lovely super soft Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon.

I've cased the whole photo!!

Here's a little hint for putting the apron together - I've used snail onto the back of my apron to help position the neck and waist ties, and then anchored them using my dimensionals for extra stability.

My other little hint shows the lovely Pearlized Doily for behind the central image.  I've cut it in half and used some snail on the DSP to position the doily halves, and then anchor it again using dimensionals on my background piece.  This saves having the fiddlyness of dealing with the super fine detail of the doily, and preventing any mess and breakage of the doily!

Now it's time for you to head over to see Rebecca's totally gorgeous tone on tone Big Shot project.

Please add your project to our lineup at the CASEING the CATTY Sunday Challenge facebook page!!  It's so lovely to share some awesome inspiration with everyone!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia    x
