Hello and Welcome to CASEING THE CATTY Sunday Blog Hop!!
We love to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit from the Stampin' Up! catalogues, and by doing this we can share with you the amount of awesome inspiration available in these amazing catalogues!
This time we are CASEing Kits from the new Occasions Catalogue.
I have chosen to break open the wonderful Perennial Birthday Project Kit - did you know that it has 12 dividers and the months of the year so that this can be your box of cards ready to give for the whole year!! How cool is that!!
This is the card from the kit - exactly as it is planned!! Super easy to do and really cool for a guy.
So, armed with the inspiration from the kit card, I then set out to make an incredible 21st card for my son's bestie. It looks pretty hectic and busy in the photo!! This is not quite my usual style, but he's having a 70's birthday party, and this colour and style looks appropriate (I think? hehehe)
Elements that have been CASED are - the colours, Old Olive, Dapper Denim and a touch of gold and whisper white; balloons with gold highlights coming from the fun Eastern Gold vinyl stickers; and a diagonal feature in the background.
The stamp set I've used is the very cool Truly Tailored and coordinating Tailored Tag punch. That groovy diagonal feature in the background is a piecing of the tag punch using gold foil and Colour Theory DSP.
As with all amazing and special cards, there is a fun coordinating envelope for this extra large size card. It measures approximately 6" x 6" and the z fold is scored at 14cm and 22cm.
I hope you've been inspired to check out the FANTASTIC Stampin' Up! kits - they are totally brilliant for quick and easy crafting on the go AND they also have awesome colour coordinating ideas. My go-to for when I have creative block is to get out a kit and create so that I don't have to do any thinking, and then I feel accomplished AND the creative juices start to flow a bit!!
You really need to hop all around this amazing design team, but now it's time for you to see this amazing kit idea by the amazing Judy May.
And please join in the fun too - it's super easy to do by adding your photo to our facebook challenge page!!
Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia x
