Colour INKspiration #28 Apron of Love

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge!  This is a fabulous blog hop of amazingly talented designers ready to inspire you in new and different ways in using some pretty special colours.  Make sure you keep hopping all the way around!!

Our colours this time are:  Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum and Lemon Lime Twist.

I have a stack of people I need to thank, so I've let these colours help me create!  It's funny really, because Soft Suede is one of my all-time favourite colours, and I've only used the tiniest bit!!  I wanted to create using the gorgeous Apron of Love bundle, and used the Soft Suede for my apron strings and greeting only.  When it comes down to it, having a pretty apron is so much fun.  

Our Sale-a-bration paper Bubbles and Fizz features a couple of these cool colours, so I've used the DSP for my apron elements.  The card base is created from the NEW Sale-a-bration DSP Springtime Foils - this is a heavy weight card which is great for a card base.  

My greeting comes from Banners For You and it fits perfectly onto the super cute rolling pin die cut from the Apron Builder Framelits.  These framelits have 17 dies including some AWESOME utensils - some for BBQ and some for baking.  This is a such a useful bundle suitable for ladies and gents.

Dontcha just LOOOOOOVE those utensils!!

A very favourite greeting for SUO #195

Hello and Welcome to another great Stampin' Up! Only Challenge!!  This time we are challenging you to share your favourite sentiment!!  How easy is that?  

Hands down, most of the cards I create are birthday cards, so I have to say that I use Happy Birthday in some form or another most often, which would make it my favourite don't you think?

NEW Sale-a-bration Inspiration for CTC#167

Hello and Welcome to another Sunday night blog hop CASEING the CATTY 

We are a team who loves sharing creative inspiration from the huge range of ideas in the Stampin' Up! catalogues.  

This week, we are again CASEING from the Sale-a-bration catalogue - and the exciting news is that we have the second release Sale-a-bration catalogue for more fabulous ideas this week. 

 I think the team is loving the new offers!!

 I have been inspired by the new Blossoming Basket Bundle in the 2nd release Sale-a-bration catalogue.  

I've CASED both of the cards and changed only the colours.

The starburst punch works as the central element for the coloured flowers.  

This Basket Weave dynamic textured impressions embossing folder is amazing - just look at the awesome detail!!

My second card is just a touch simpler than the catalogue version, and I've used Peekaboo Peach for my colours (only because I had a card base sitting on my desk asking to be used!!!).

There are lots of gorgeous projects in the line up this week - I hope you enjoy them all!!

So much MORE to Sale-a-bration!

This month, I've had to change a few of my regular classes, and I really apologize if you have missed out on coming along this month.  Our daughter has been quite ill and hospitalised for a week and a half.  She is now at home (yay) and recovering well but it will still be some time before she's fully recovered.  So, this has caused a few cancellations and I apologize.  I have focused on our full day class this coming Saturday, but no other classes for February. 

I plan to be back in full swing again for March - so check out your class schedule to see what I've got coming up, and plan for some great cardmaking fun then!!  Dates to keep in mind are:  Technique Class on Thursday 8th; Card Buffet on Wednesday 21st and the Themed Class on Sunday 25th.  March is also the LAST month of Sale-a-bration so if you've been thinking about placing an order for those extras you need, consider doing it now so that you can receive some of the awesome rewards available for you!!  I'm very happy to tell you all about the best offers for you, so please call me and I'll help you as much as I can!!

Painted With Love chapter for CTC#166

Hello and Welcome to another inspiring Sunday Night Blog Hop with CASEING the CATTY.

Each Sunday night we CASE projects from our awesome Stampin' Up! catalogues and then challenge you to join in the fun and add your cased projects to our facebook page too.  

This week, we are CASEING the Painted With Love chapter in the Occasions catalogue - 

pages 18-21.  I have CASED the little 'Just For You'  card featuring the heart, paper and greeting in the very front bottom of the landing page (18)

My cards feature the same elements of image and greeting over the top of some DSP.  

The opulent DSP is from the NEW second release of SALE-A-BRATION rewards.  It is the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper and features Gold Foil, Silver Foil and Rose Gold Foil, and it is delicious!!

I've paired it with the fun and quirky Magical Day stamp set and the coordinating Magical Mates framelits.

All the stamping was heat embossed with gold embossing powder and then die cut with the Big Shot - makes it all so much quicker.  I've also used the ever useful Stitched Shapes framelits for the writing panel and the large greeting inside the double z fold card.  

My final touch was a bunch of metallic thread behind the main image along with a few metallic enamel shapes or faceted gems.  I also used a little gold wink of stella (now retired) to add a few little gold highlights to the images.  

I love how a double z fold card is just perfect to sit upon your shelf to admire!!
