SUO Challenge #190 Favourite Christmas Image

Hello and Welcome to our Challenge to use Stampin' Up! only products!!
The theme for our last challenge this year is to share your Favourite Christmas Image.

And there are soooo many choices.......

After much deliberation, I kept coming back to the gorgeous star of Bethlehem for my favourite - a VERY close second was the stamp set Night in Bethlehem and the coordinating Bethlehem thinlits!!

I love these wonderful greetings in this stamp set, and the font is so beautiful!!

The measurements to make my little shadow box are:  Soft Sky A4 cardstock cut in half length ways - 10.5cm x 29.6cm and then scored along the long side at 12.5cm, 14.5cm, 27cm, 29cm.  I've used the largest Layering Squares thinlit for my window, and the Dapper Denim cardstock in the background is 10cm x 12cm.  The greeting at the top of the box has been punched with the pretty label punch from the extra square cut from the front of the card.

Stamp sets:  Star of Light and Night in Bethlehem for the shepherd.

I really hope you've been inspired to join in the fun of our challenge - simply add your project to the line up on our blog (link above) and entries close on 1st January 2018.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

This week we are CASEING any project from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

My CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything) comes from page 4, right in the middle of the spread featuring the lovely Quilted Christmas bundle.

Ever since I saw these gorgeous Stitched Felt Embellishments I've wanted to created this gorgeous sweet card - how ironic that it's the LAST project I CASE for the year!!! (teehee)

I've simplified the design even more that the original - cutting out the triangle shapes from the Quilted Christmas DSP and adding the felt tree to the middle.
The stamped greeting comes from Star of Light.

Now it's time for you to keep hopping along to see Elizabeth's lovely project!!

And please add your ideas for CASEing any project from our Holiday Catalogue.  You can easily add your photo to our facebook challenge page - no blog needed!!

Add a Little Glitz for Colour INKspiration #24

Hello and Welcome to Colour INKspiration
where we inspire you with challenges of colour and images!!
No automatic alt text available.

The Colours this time are:  Tranquil Tide, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, and Blushing Bride.

This image is so sweet, that I've kept to the same theme.  I've used the Add a Little Glitz stamp set and the adorable tree image is stamped and heat embossed with all the colours.

I've added some texture behind the central panel using the Softly Falling embossing folder, and added some ribbon in Tranquil Tide and Pool Party at the bottom.  The greeting comes from Christmas Pines.

These are such lovely colours, you'll have to join in the fun and add your project to our challenge line up at our facebook page.

And now it's time for you to keep hopping around the team to see some more amazing inspiration from this lovely image. Next up is the brilliant Bronwyn!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

CASEing page 50 - CTC#158 - celebrating my age!!

Hello and Welcome to another Sunday Night Blog Hop!!

Our Blog Hop shows you so many awesome ideas as we CASE the Catty each week!!

No automatic alt text available.

This week we are CASEing a project from any catalogue this is your age........

So.... on page 50 of the Annual Catalogue, there is this great little "You Can Make It" box featuring the lovely Vertical Greetings stamp set.

So I've decided the CASE the whole photo!!  I'm TOTALLY in Christmas Cardmaking mode...... so my cards feature the Star of Light stamp set; the gorgeous Stitched Felt Embellishments from the Holiday Catalogue; and the Mini Tassels.

My first card CASES the gift bag  at the top of the photo.  I've substituted the gift bag with some Year of Cheer DSP, and added a star embellishment into the cluster.

My second card copies the cute little card on the left and I've featured the lovely felt star and some gold heat embossed stars in the background.

And lastly, I've used the gorgeous Eastern Gold Vinyl stickers in the background instead of the Eastern Palace DSP.  I shifted the tassel to below the star - and I think it looks so adorable!!!

So...... there you are - page 50 in a Christmas theme.  I love love love that these gorgeous photos can inspire us in so many ways to be creative.  The Stampin' Up! catalogue is a BRILLIANT way to kick start your creative genius!!

And please, we love to see your creations on our facebook challenge page!! It's super easy to add your project.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

Favourite Holiday Colours for SUO Challenges!

Hello and Welcome to our fun challenge for Stampin' Up! Only challenges using Stampin' Up! only products.  This time we are featuring our favourite Holiday Colours.

You will see some beeutiful projects from the whole design team over at our blog - click on the link and head on over!!

After much long and laborious thinking about my favourite colours, I eventually decided my favourite colours are actually quite vintage.  I knew Christmas was my holiday project of choice, and I know I'm an old fashioned gal, so I went with Very Vanilla, and some Christmas colours of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green with some Soft Suede sponging for the vintage feel.

This is actually a box card with a little peek-a-boo window to see Santa from the Father Christmas stamp set.  I will admit that the Neutrals family are my favourite, so it's really no surprise I like a softer and conservative feel to my card!!

I hope you join in the fun of our challenge and share your creations featuring your favourite Holiday Colours.  It's easy to add your project to the line up - click on the link and head to our Blog page.

Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

Having fun with colour for CTC#157 Case a Colour combination

Hello and Welcome to another Sunday Night Blog Hop with CASEing the Catty blog hop challenge!!

Every Sunday night we inspire and challenge you to look at the amazing Stampin' Up! Catalogue with new eyes, as we CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything) the fabulous projects so that you see the potential for being creative using the great catalogue ideas !!!

No automatic alt text available.

This week we are challenged to CASE a colour combination from either of our current Catalogues.

My case this week is inspired by this sweet card on page 37 of the Annual Catalogue.

I've swapped the stamped image for the gorgeous image and greeting from Rose Wonder, coloured with my Watercolour pencils using Pacific Point, and Stampin' Blends for the leaves using Crumb Cake.  I'm not mightily comfortable with bright colours, but I really love this combination of Pacific Point and Crumb Cake - the formula is probably quite easy really - my favourites are the Neutrals colour family so the mix of bright and neutral satisfies my conservative soul!!!

The original card features stamping onto a Memories and More card which has a pattern all over it, so I've stamped the smaller floral image from Rose Wonder using Soft Sky all over the background of my feature piece.  The layout of my card is almost identical to the original - the only change I've made is to add some burlap ribbon behind the greeting and a little enamel dot on the top of my linen bow.

I hope you are inspired to have a go at CASEing a colour combination from either of our current catalogues - this is a fun and easy challenge as there are sooooo many possibilities in the CATTY!!!

Just click here to head to our facebook challenge page to add your project and join in the fun!!

Now it's time for you to head to see the fabulous Kelly and her green/black awesome card!!
