Hello and Welcome to our CASEing the Catty Challenge where we Copy And Share Everything from our amazing Catalogues.
This week, the challenge is to CASE from our Catalogue Covers and Hostess Sets!!
I've chosen to combine my challenge project with a card for a very special occasion! My card is REALLY large for lots of people to write their names inside. It measures 12" x 8".
It is inspired by this lovely card at the top right of the front of the Holiday Catalogue.
I've changed the orientation of my card to a landscape view, but the layout remains the same.
The feature panel was created by stamping an oval with the gumnuts (that's what they look like to me!!) from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I've used Early Espresso and stamped onto some Wood Textures DSP. I've then stamped with the Old Olive again around the oval to emulate the double row of stitching from my feature card in the catalogue.
The cluster below the oval features leaves from Painted Harvest along with burlap ribbon and copper trim under the Number of Years stamped numbers. The large greeting is die cut with the Happy Birthday thinlit with coordinates perfectly with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set - such a wonderful set!!
I've also made an envelope for the card using the coordinating Painted Autumn DSP.
The greeting on the tag comes from Merry Little Labels and the coordinating Everyday label punch.
I hope you've been inspired and that you will join the fun with us and add your project CASEing our catalogue covers or hostess sets to our fun facebook challenge page!!
Now it's time to hop on over to see Peta's fabulous reindeer!!
Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia x

Oh that is divine Julia! I love how you did the gumnuts around both the DSP & cardstock behind it and also the ticket tape edge really sets off the card.
ReplyDeleteThank you Megan. This was a great layout to case.
Delete12 x 8 is a monster of a card!!! It's sometimes hard to make something that big look like a cohesive design but you have done that really well with this layout. Beautiful card for a very special occasion.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Liz. This is why I love CASEING the catty. This layout worked so well.
DeleteLove your card Julia, must have been a bit of a challenge to make one so big and keep it looking so good! Great work.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Monique. The DSP really helped me get it all together.
DeleteFabulouse CASE, Julia! Love the special touches on the envelope too. I'm sure the recipient will appreciate your effort.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Judy. I hope so!
DeleteBeautiful card Julia, I love the stamping on the Wood Textures DSP.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Peta. I agree. The stamping on the DSP is great.
DeleteThat's quite a dramatic card with many delightful details, like the gumnuts stamped on woodgrain, and the dsp edging. Its all great in fact.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! What a great idea for a larger card.
