Delightful Daisy for Everyday Occasions CTC#139

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop!!

Image may contain: text

This week we are CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) from the Everyday Occasions Chapter of our marvellous Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue!!

And I've been inspired firstly by this card in the middle on the right of the landing page for the chapter - page 18.  It features the glorious Eastern Palace suite, but, I've used the Fresh Florals suite for my card and used the layout of the feature card.

I've kept the same horizontal elements by using some stamping, washi tape and the greeting instead of the DSP, and my fussy cut DSP is in place of the stamped images in the stimulus card.

All of the elements are created using Lemon Lime Twist - ink, washi tape, DSP, ribbon, and cardstock - isn't it great when it all comes together!!!

My second card is inspired by the feature page for the Pick A Pattern Suite on page 40.

I don't have ANY of this suite, BUT, the layout for this darling card look amazing using ANY papers!!  (you'll see a couple of the team have been inspired by this super cute card!!)

I've used the Delightful Daisy DSP and coordinating stamp set for the greeting.  All you have to do is use 5 strips of DSP and the framelit from Bunch of Banners framelits - it cuts out 2 banners!!! (both the inside frame and the outline) Winner winner!  So, I just used both sides of the DSP to create 10 different patterns!!

I hope you love all our project enough to have a go too and join in the fun of our challenge - this time showing inspiration from pages 18 - 67 Everyday Occasions!!  So much potential!!

Next on our blog hop is the amazing Rose and her gorgeous piggies!!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia.    x

Colour INKspiration #14

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge!!  Check out these colours this time!!

Image may contain: one or more people and shoes

They are:  Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Night of Navy - and what do you think?  I think they are gorgeous!

I've used the lovely Background Bits Hostess Set which is an awesome set for collage stamping (one of my favourite techniques).

Background Bits Clear-Mount Stamp Set

I've also used the lovely Pattern Party Decorative Masks and some stencilling with Smoky Slate to create the brickworks.  Over the top of the bricks I've stamped the script from the stamp set using Soft Sky.  The flowers and greeting are stamped in Rich Razzleberry.

The final touch is some Night of Navy gingham ribbon tied around the card, and then bunched with some Rich Razzleberry Stitched Edge ribbon and 5 strands of white bakers twine.  I've also added some Fine Tip Glue pen to the flower heads and dazzling diamonds glitter into the glue for some bling.  A couple of Night of Navy and Soft Sky enamel shape dots finish off the greeting.

The inside of the card is super sweet too!!

I often forget to do the inside of the card, but gee I love it when I do - the card looks awesome and so well finished  and really special!

Now it's time for you to hop along to see the great project from Jacque, and be sure to hop around and see everyone's awesome combinations of colour.

And please join in the fun, by adding your project to our facebook challenge page!!

Be Merry with Carols of Christmas CTC#138 Holidays

Hello and Welcome to another Sunday Night Blog Hop where we CASE the (totally inspiring!) Stampin' Up! Catalogue!!

No automatic alt text available.

This week, we are sharing inspiration from the Holidays chapter - pages 112 - 125.

And again this week, I've been inspired by the landing page for this chapter and this gorgeous layout of the Be Merry Suite on page 112.  I've looked at all the cards on this page, and be inspired over and over!!

My other inspiration has been an exciting early release of a Christmas Stamp Set - Carols of Christmas.  This stamp set is being offered as an awesome bonus as part of our joining promotion this month.  Make sure you head to my website to find all the details!!
And NEXT month, you can purchase it EARLY as a bundle with the coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits.  We get soooo many awesome perks being demonstrators, and one of them is that we can preorder these fun newbies !!

Sooooooo, after that long intro - here are my cards!!  This card is inspired by the oh-so-sweet card at the top right of the layout - it has 3 large stitched shapes ovals in a cute "snowy hills" arrangement!!

You might be able to see the yummy layer of dazzling diamonds snowy hills, and the sparkle in the sky  where I've again used the dazzling diamonds glimmer paper behind this fun starry sky (one of the cute framelits in the bundle).  There are quite a few of us on the team this week who have been inspired by this card - and who could blame us?  It's adorable!!

This darling card uses a sweet framelit to create a gorgeous card front - I've added some red glimmer paper behind for some serious bling!!  I was using the Merry Christmas card on the bottom left as my starting point, but then really wanted to add the floral corners - so it's similar but different!!

I think I was having too much fun playing with new goodies, and got carried away - when I looked back at the Catty, I was surprised at the end result!!

My third card started out being inspired by the box on the top left - but it sort of turned out to have a life of its own!!!  (again)

These Sahara Sand stars are the remaining cut outs from the poinsettia card - waste not, want not.

And finally, I started to get "serious", so my last card is CASED from the cute reindeer card  - it almost looks quite similar (a bit).

The bottom line is that I had an awesome time playing with these new goodies, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the inspiration I find in the Catalogue every day, and when I have a mental block, I am ALWAYS finding a starting point when I CASE the CATTY!!

So now it's time for you see the amazing inspiration and GORGEOUS autumn project from Jackie.   And KEEP on hopping - the projects from the team this week are so so spectacular!!!

And please join in the fun!!  You can add your projects inspired by our Holiday Chapter by uploading your photos to our CASEING the CATTY facebook group!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia    x
