What favourite retired item? CTC#127

Hello and Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Night Blog Hop!  We are a design team who love to take inspiration from our Stampin' Up! catalogues, and then CASE them to share and inspire you in turn too.  We have found our catalogues to be chock FULL of ideas and awesome projects.

This week we are sharing our 'Favourite Retiring Project' from our Annual Catalogue with you.......
and I ask: 'What favourite retired item?' - there are so many fabulous favourites, I'm finding it hard to choose.    So I decided to CASE quite a few projects, and highlight some of my favourite products!!

One of my favourite products for Scrapbooking has been this Writing Notes background stamp - and as I have school aged children still, there have been many occasions where the 'notebook' style of project has been fun and contemporary and just perfect for teenagers!!

On my page, I've used it to create 4 'notes' in a cluster behind this years school photos of my youngest girls.

And each of the 'notes' has been inspired by a different project in the catalogue.  This bottom Title note takes its inspiration from the tag featured in the Love and Affection Suite on page 44.

You can see I've used the fabulous Numbers of Years stamp set instead of the 'love' and used the washi tape and the 'be you tiful'  greeting for the base of my note.  I've stamped the floral image on the side using Flower Patch (which is where the greeting also comes from).

The other 'note' at the base of the page is inspired by this card in the Love and Affections Suite - the greetings featured in this suite are all so special for scrapping!!

The cluster is very similar to the feature on the front of this card although I've substituted the Lace Doily for the Delicate White Doily and used washi tape instead of DSP.

The top note is heavily CASED from this card on page 150 - again this greeting from Flower Patch was just perfect for a photo of my girls!!

And the last note is inspired by the Love and Affection Suite again on page 44 with some background stamping and another affirming statement!

I hope you've been inspired, and that you can see why I love the retiring Writing Notes background stamp, as well as the great greetings from Flower Patch and Love and Affection.

This was a fun page to create - and I think it works really well for our teenagers - and using washi tape to 'post' all those 'love notes' makes it colourful too!!

Now it's time for you to hop along and see Rebecca's wonderful card featuring her favourite retiring goodies!!

For the complete list of the design team, head over to our CASEing the Catty blog.

And if you'd LOVE to join in the fun (and we'd really LOVE to see your awesome creations too), please add your projects to our facebook challenge group and show us your favourite retiring products!!

See you next Sunday for more great inspiration!!
We love having you join our hop!

Happy Stamping! Julia
