Island Indigo Dove of Peace

This elegant dove looks divine in every colour when it's stamped!!  Here I've stamped it with Island Indigo and then sponged with a little Pool Party to colour it.

Blue and silver are a lovely combination for Christmas aren't they?

CASEING the CATTY 3D

Welcome to the CASEing The Catty Sunday night blog hop!  If you've come from Elizabeths lovely project, I hope you're enjoying all of the wonderful projects from the whole design team!!  If you start here, be sure to hope your way through everyone - we all have different styles and ideas - and you will love what you see!!

This week at CASEing the Catty we are celebrating the lovely 3D projects in the Catalogue - and I've just LOVED CASEing this great box featured on page 15.

Creating this project was easy because I simply used what I had in my collection and created the box to be very similar to the one in the catalogue.  I haven't added a wooden snowflake element - because I really really LOVE the sparkle showing through on the bauble - and I've used some vibrant red glimmer paper to highlight the bauble too!!  Loving these gorgeous Delicate Ornaments Thinlits!!

And this stamping detail on the gift box using the fun gift box punch board is such a great idea!!  This I have completely CASEd straight from the Catty!!  I love this idea, and I love the inspiration I always gets from copying the ideas and projects in every Stampin' Up! publication!!

Now it's time for you to hop on over to Jessica's lovely project!

English Garden Beauty

One of the things I love best about the great Stampin' Up! product is the coordination of our products!  On this gorgeous card I've let the English Garden DSP be the star of the show with it's glorious watercolour images and wonderful colours.
To enhance this lovely paper, I've used the same colours in my card stock and ink - Blushing Bride, and Old Olive, and then the stamped images from the coordinating stamp set Garden in Bloom add those divine extra elements of beauty.

I found creating this card so very rewarding, and I love how it's turned out!!!

And my finishing touches are those sparkly elements of gold bling, a paper doily, and some shiny White Perfect Accents.  Wouldn't you love to receive or create a card like this?

SUO Favourite Holiday Colours

We at SUO are sharing our favourite holiday colours - and I've gone with a Christmas theme.  Most of my cards for classes and parties are all about Christmas!!!
Choosing my favourite colours was really really difficult!!  I tend to mostly use the traditional Reds and Greens, with a splash of gold or silver for fun sparkle and gorgeous bling.  I really really love a blue/silver theme, but I've ended up creating this rather elegant combination of Cherry Cobbler and lashings of gold.  Gold Glimmer paper, Gold Cord, Gold Winter Wonderland Washi Tape and Gold Glitter.  With the help of my trusty Fine Tip Glue Pen and our super fine gold glitter I embellished the divine Dove of Peace to give her extra sparkle and shine.... and you should see my creative space NOW - it positively GLOWS with glitter!!!

So what do you think?  Are you inspired to have a go too?  The possibilities are absolutely endless!!  And you can choose whichever holiday you love best too!!
So go to our Challenge Blog and see all the amazing designs from all of the team, then create your fabulous creation and add it in to the lineup for our challenge!!  Share your creativity and let's all enjoy your inspiration!!

I'm on the team at SUO!

Home for Christmas DSP

I really love the images and designs on this gorgeous Home for Christmas DSP - so here's some more inspiration for you!!

I've tried to keep the embellishments fairly minimal so that the paper is the real star of the show!!

The greetings come from Antique Tags - one of the great hostess stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue - and this set is only available until January 4 for hostesses - SO, if you would like to earn this as your free Stampin' Rewards between now and then, be sure to book your party now!!  I'd love to help you and your friends have a lovely time creating cards and spending time together!!

Project Life on a Frame

Project Life really offers some great opportunities for embellishment as well as scrapping!

Here, I've use one of our retired Project Life Accessories Kits to give some extra life to a frame - for my Mum's Christmas gift this year!!

It was fun trying to think of all the words I could make with the alphabet letters!!!

Season of Cheer in CASEING the CATTY this week!

Welcome along to our Blog Hop this week - CASEing the Catty in the Season of Cheer pages - starting from page 28 and going to page 34.
Welcome here if you have hopped on over from Kathryn's lovely project, and if you start here be sure you hop ALL the way around and see all the amazing ideas and inspiration from the whole design team!!

My card is CASEd from page 28 and it is the third card climbing up the stairs!
I've used the stamp set Reason for the Season (I don't have the Season of Cheer DSP), and adapted the card a little.

I used the leaf image from the stamp set to help create the background trees, and then when it was stamped I thought it was too bold for the background, so I've popped some vellum over the top to create a more subtle and soft image behind my focal point.  I have also used my aquabrush to lightly watercolour over the stamped images and 'fill them in' a little.

My greeting comes from Antique Tags - I've really enjoyed using this hostess stamp set!!

Now it's time to hop on over the see the wonderful project from Rebecca!

And if you get really lost, be sure to click onto the CASEing the CATTY blog graphic for the full list of all the design team members - you'll love all the great ideas and designs!!

My favourite Christmas Bundle for CASEing the Catty

Welcome this week to our blog hop celebrating our favourite Holiday Bundle from the Holiday Catalogue.  If you've hopped here from Liz's lovely project,, I hope you will continue to be inspired as you hop about to see all the amazing creativity of the team!!

My favourite Bundle is the Berry Merry Bundle - stamp set and coordinating Embossing Folder.

I've used it many times, and this week I've chosen some more non-traditional colours - but I really LOVE the final look of the card - somehow elegant and vintage at the same time!!  I've used Night of Navy and Tip Top Taupe, and added a wooden snowflake, and a classy button tied with linen thread.

Now it's time for you to hop on over to the lovely project that Tricia is featuring!

And if you get totally lost, just jump on back to the CASEing the CATTY blog to see the list and links of all the design team members.

SUO Fall Fun - with Wondrous Wreath

We are celebrating the beauty of Fall with our challenge this week at SUO.
I'm on the team at SUO!

Here in Queensland, Australia, we really don't experience any form of Fall - our climate is too warm for many leaves to change colour and fall - gum trees are evergreen, and the only trees which celebrate Autumn are usually in cooler climes than where I live.

But I really do love the colours of leaves changing!!

I've used the marvellous stamp set Wondrous Wreath and stamped it with Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede.  The Hardwood background image is stamped in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla, and the 'thanks' greeting is cut from our lovely Kraft cardstock.

My accessories are the lovely gold glimmer ribbon, In colour Blossom Accents, and Metallics Sequin Assortment.

We hope you enjoy our lovely Fall Fun inspiration and that you join in the fun with SUO!
Just click on the SUO blog graphic to see all the amazing projects from the design team, and create your own project and enter into the spirit of Fall Fun.
