Dove of Peace step card

This is a beautiful image to colour - and every design is different!!  I love it!!

Over at Just Add Ink there is this lovely colour challenge .....

So these are the colours for my dove this time - the Night of Navy is the outline colour for the dove.

Can you see the lovely Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum peeking out there behind the focal image?  This is some of the delicious vellum that is totally perfect for Christmas!! (and this lovely silver snowflake design is my favourite!!)

Oh, and I've used another of my favourite new toys - the Curvy Corner Trio Punch!!  Love it too!!

Hello Life meets Awesomely Artistic

I recently made this lovely engagement card for some friends of mine.  I've used a combination of Awesomely Artistic and Hello Life images stamped in Crumb Cake for my background.  The leaf image on those gorgeous love birds is also from Awesomely Artistic - stamped in Marina Mist.
I would have never thought about using the brick wall embossing folder for an engagement card, but I really think this works.... what do you think?

Garden in Bloom thank you

I'm on the team at SUO!
This week on SUO we are exploring Thank you cards and gifts, and celebrating gratitude - and giving a gift or card is a wonderful way of saying a heartfelt thankyou!!

My card features Garden in Bloom triple stamping!  I've stamped those gorgeous flowers with Calypso Coral for the outline, and then blushing bride for the centre of the flower, and then again for the highlights - I'm loving the soft delicate finish of these images.  The torn frame in the background was created with a mask and then sponged with Pool Party tinged with a little Soft Suede.
My 'thanks' is diecut with the versatile Greetings thinlit dies with Mint Macaron.

I hope you've been inspired enough to have a go and enter the challenge this week at SUO - because we all need more thank you cards right?

Happy Haunting in CASEing the Catty

This week on CASEing the Catty we are being inspired from the Happy Haunting Suite in the Holiday Catalogue - pages 46 - 49 of the Holiday Catalogue.  Welcome if you've arrived here from the creative genius of Rachel, or if you start here on my blog, be sure to continue hopping around to see the other awesome projects from the rest of the team!!

My card is inspired by the cute little dracula halloween card on the left of page 48.  And I created the same card twice - one with silver accents, the other with gold.... still deciding which I like the best!!!

I've used the same Cucumber Crush cardstock for the base card, embossed the background, and then added similar elements to the card in the Catty.  Instead of the gorgeous black spider web doilies, I've used our yummy paper doilies.  And instead of the flags on the side of the main greeting panel I've used cord and some glitter ribbon flags.

My images are stamped from Reason for the Season, and I've watercoloured them (inspired by the watercolouring on the little halloween card).

I hope you enjoy my card, and you are inspired to have a go at CASEing the Catty too!

Now it's time for you to hop on along to see Tricia's wonderful project, and you can click on this great arrow as you follow along on all the blogs for our hop this week!!

And if you get totally lost, just go back to the CASEing the Catty blog to see the complete list of all our blog posts for todays hop - and be inspired!!

Oh What Fun and Berrys and Boughs

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week is a great Christmas card idea!!

I've punched silver glimmer paper with the tree punch, used some vellum with the Berrys and Boughs Embossing folder, and then stamped the greeting from Oh What Fun on the Soft Sky cardstock underneath the vellum.  I love the subtlety of this card!!

My final embellishment is some silver cord tied in a bow and attached to the base of the tree.

CASEing the Catty - Project Life Holiday Inspiration

This week on CASEing the Catty we are being inspired by the Project LIfe Section in the Holiday Catalogue.

You may have arrived here from the lovely project of Rebecca, or you may start here - either way, be sure to hop all around the blog team members to see the amazing inspiration coming from our Project Life Offering - you'll love it!!!

And I have been inspired by the Hello December Project Life Cards on page 36 that are illustrated in the album and in the Product Suite.  I don't have the Project Life Card Collection, however, I DO have the Project Life Hello December 2015 stamp set - which is a very useful set I must say!!

And my second card - well - I think I got a bit carried away with it!!  At the very beginning of my creation, I used the lovely Mint Macaron wreath as my inspiration....... and then I added some decorative stamping from Oh What Fun with stars and holly....... as well as the Real Red bow at the top and some gold sequin trim..... AND then I put a window over the top!!!

Yes, it's rather a busy image underneath all that - and I'm still not very sure about it - but I thought I'd show you anyway!!  Who knows, maybe it will inspire you in some way.......?
I do love the scroll and greeting over the top of the window though.

And now it's time for you to hop on over to see the creative genius of  Elizabeth - Enjoy!!

and if you get all bamboozled, just click on our blog image to see a full list of all the design team member participants!!!

Gift Packaging with the Envelope Punch Board

I've been having a great time making the most of my envelope punch board - making bon-bons.

My bon-bons are made with 6" x 6" paper scored on one side:  1", 1 1/2", 2", 4", 4 1/2 ", 5" and then scored on the other side:  1 1/4", 2 1/2", 3  3/4", 5"

My second box is really gorgeous too - it uses a whole sheet of 12" x 12" paper

And the star box is totally fun too.

The measurements for this one are:

Paper 7" x 10.5"
scored:   2", 4", 6", 8", 10" on the long side
and 1.5", 4.5" and 5.5" on the short side
Use the envelope punch board at the 5.5" measurement line

Enjoy!

Antique Tags

Freshly Made Sketchs have a lovely clean sketch this week that really appealed to me.  So here is my take on the sketch using Tip Top Taupe and Sahara Sand with Antique Tags stamp set.  I used some of my lovely new white glitter ribbon - doesn't it sparkle beautifully!!  I love the combination of the corrugated cardstock, the sparkle and the Vintage look of the stamping!!   I also added some dazzling details to the stamped tree but it's a bit tricky to see in the photo!!

Reason for the Season Colour Challenge

These amazing colours are so appropriate for Christmas, so I just had to join in the challenge at
The Paper Players this week!

I've used Reason for the Season with it's gorgeous poinsettia, and used my block to stamp with Crushed Curry in the backgrouns for my clean finish.  A little gold glitter ribbon finishes the card.

Oh What Fun - a sketch challenge for GDP

Over at Global Design Project, there is a great sketch challenge this week.

and I've gone all out with my glimmer paper - it is the star of the show!!

I've added some washi tape and ribbon, and then embellished with a greeting from Oh What Fun, and a lovely Christmas Tree punched from the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack.

I love how the stripes on the tree echo the stripes in the card design!!

Berry Merry and Winter Wonderland Gold Gift Cards

Doesn't Gold and White look so opulent and shiny together?  I had fun making these little gift cards and their coordinating envelopes.

The envelopes are created using the lovely Winter Wonderland Vellum Paper Pack with it's 6" x 6" papers with lots of yummy designs in  gold foil on vellum.

The stamping comes from Berry Merry, and Antique Tags stamped with Soft Suede - which coordinates perfectly with all the gold accents.

I'm also featuring the Winter Wonderland Washi tape across each little card, as well as the bottom corners punched with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.

Some gold glimmer paper and gold doilies, and the cards are complete!!
