This card was inspired by the sketch challenge this week at JUST ADD INK.
As soon as I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to do a little peek-a-boo card - and that was my starting point!
I punched my circle from my card, and then thought, ... now what? I looked at my collection of Embossing folders and then my card design was done - some woodgrain immediately gave me the ideas to make this little cutie!! I stamped inside the circle with Hardwood and then punched my little bird with our lovely new corrugated cardstock. I love the wing made from a paper doily - isn't that so sweet!!
and then to embellish my little 'birdhouse', I stamped the tiny flower from Cottage Greetings and punched it with the Tree Builder punch - the shape it not totally exact, but it's pretty jolly close!! I was thrilled with the effect!
To make those little tiny flowers see fuller I then punched with the Itty Bitty flower punch and added some branches from the bird builder punch.
The greeting also comes from Cottage Greetings - and it's wrapped with some silver bakers twine around some Tip Top Taupe punched with the little banner punch!! LOTS of punches used on this card!!
Loving the texture and earthy colours Julia, lovely use of the Just Add Ink sketch. Thanks for joining us this week.
