Swaps with my team

These are my 'twinchie' swaps for our team swap tonight!  The criteria was for Brights Colours, Party theme, and 2" square - hence the name 'twinchie' - don't they look great all bundled together!!!

When we all swap with each other (40 of us), then I will have lots of different twinchies all in the same theme that I can put together to make a gorgeous collage!!  Isn't that a great idea!!  Love it!

My colours are:  Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Bemuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie, and my stampset is Amazing Birthday!

Mothers for SUO

This week for SUO, our challenge is all about Mothers.  I've had this lovely stamp set waiting to be used so this week I seized the opportunity!!!  My Mum really LOVES crosswords and Scrabble, so the choice of the dictionary is perfect for her!

I haven't made a vintage sort of card for quite a while and I really enjoyed making this card for Mum.  As well as using Sweet Laughter, I've also used Petite Petals, Dictionary background stamp set, and Gorgeous Grunge.

My colours were Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Cherry Cobbler, along with some thick Old Olive bakers twine.  The little petite petals are stamped onto natural filter paper in a bunch of five sheets of paper to give them some volume and texture.   I used some brad bases to fix the filter paper together and then a pearl in the centre of the brad.
Now to send it off to Mum for Mothers Day!

Pirate Treasure!

I created this card for my 10 year old friend's birthday.  This was the idea I had in my head ever since I bought this stamp set and it's taken me so long to finally make it!!  I love this little pirate fellow from the Hey Valentine! stamp set.

My background card is Soft Sky, and I stamped the boat from the Open Sea along with some lines from Gorgeous Grunge to represent the sea.  For the foreground I used So Saffron and stamped the little dotty stamp for the sand.

I coloured in this little guy with markers, and added some glitter and crystal effects to the treasure chest.  My greeting comes from Petite Pairs.

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge #260

This week at Just Add Ink, the challenge involves using this sketch.

This is a Mothers Day Card but I decided to give it a generic greeting to give it some flexibility.  I really loved watercolouring the flowers though, and got so carried away I made doubles of the tulip heads and then fussy cut them and popped them over the top to give the flowers more dimension!  What was I thinking!  Lots of fussy cutting, but it sure looks great!!!

The rest of the card is basic layering with a similar theme using the hardwood stamp  and the woodgrain embossing folder.
A bit of burlap finished the card for the banner part of the sketch.

Caseing the Catty - Go See Do

I have the honour of being a guest designer as part of the Caseing the Catty blog hop this week for our chapter featuring Memory Keeping in the Occasions Catalogue.

You may have ended up here after coming from the lovely Jackie, or come straight here, either way you are welcome!

I have used the cute little stamp set Let's Get Away.
I made this card for a friend who is becoming a teenager today!  I thought that the sentiment Go. See. Do was perfect for the journey into being a teenager!!

So, I hope you enjoy all the inspiration for this great blog hop from the great design team!

Next on the blog hop is the talented Stasia - enjoy!!

Love this smile......

The stamp set So You, is such a great stamp set for scrapbooking!!!  Look at this page we will be doing at our class this week - I love the words from the stamp set - Love this Smile

I've stamped the greeting on some of the printed paper from the Adventure Bound paper stack - just to add a bit of interest!  The top of the photo frame is also embellished with some Washi tape and a paper clip and bakers twine.

Another great scrapbooking stamp set is the Perpetual Calender stamp set - full of lovely little images that are perfect for backgrounds!!

Playground Project Life® by Stampin' Up! Card Collection

Clean and Simple Watercolour

I found this lovely challenge blog at Paper Players, and I thought to give it a go!

I've used the flower from Mum's Love and watercoloured it with Island Indigo and Old Olive.

Painted Petals Thank You

I've been a busy little beaver creating some Thank You cards - sometimes you really need to give someone a really special thankyou, so it's really great to have a few cards in my stockpile ready to go!!

These cards feature the beautiful Painted Petals DSP - with it's vibrant colours and beautiful watercolour images, this paper is so lovely!

And the design of these cards is really quite simple - easy enough to whip up a few cards at the same time.

Time for the Retiring List

Our Retiring List is out NOW ready for when our new catalogue is launched on June 2 (not as it is printed on the back of the current catalogue).

The quickest way for you to get some awesome bargains quickly is to go to my online store by clicking HERE  or you can email me by clicking HERE or phone me to place an order for you!!

Usually the quickest items to sell out are the Incolours - papers, inks, and reinkers, so be sure to get in very quickly to grab a bargain before they are totally gone!!

CLICK here to see the total list of retiring stamp sets, papers and accessories.

Indescribable Gift (reprise)

I have actually shown you this card before..... but I've made it again, only this time I've used Baked Brown Sugar as my base card (my previous creation used Strawberry Slush - which was a much brighter card!!!)

Just Add Sequins

This week at Just Add Ink, there is a challenge to add sequins, and the projects made by the design team are so lovely!!
My card is rather a subdued card for sequins I think, but my star theme certainly drew me towards the lovely star sequins in our In Colour Sequin collection.

My greeting comes from So You, and I've also added some yummy thick bakers twine to the top.

I created the background by lightly stamping the hexagon mosaic folder with Smoky Slate Ink and then 'stamping' onto my card!

I've actually used the Occasions Catalogue as my inspiration for this card:

Caseing the Catty - Wedding Section

Caseing the Catty have a BLOG HOP using the Wedding Section of the Occasions Catalogue, so be sure to click and see the great ideas from the Design Team.

I decided to have a little go too!!  So this card is inspired by the card on page 44 of the Occasions Catalogue.  I've used similar soft colours and arrangement with the Mum's Love stamp set.

The washi tape is Sweet Dreams and I've also used some gorgeous Sahara Sand Lace Trim along with the Painted Blooms bakers twine.

Here's my inspiration card!

Bloom with Hope

I've shown this card before, but this week I'm going to a funeral to honour the father of my dear friend, so I've made another.  This card is very simple, and I really like the effect of the background - simply stamp with the inkpad directly onto the cardstock, and then I've stamped my image over the top, and embellished with some washi tape and a button and candy dots.

Fun with Scrapbooking Tic Tac Toe - can you see the inspiration?
