Sketch Challenge for Just Add Ink

This week at Just Add Ink, there is a sketch challenge and it was PERFECT for using some of those bits and pieces I've had on my desk waiting for some inspiration!!  You know how you try out some ideas and they don't work but you still want to use those embellishments that you spent so much time preparing?  Well, I have lots of them, and this card used up a few!!

I had this panel of Hardwood ready as a background, so it was super easy to make into the three piece panel,  And then the greeting on the front was also a piece waiting for a card to show it off!!  The greeting is from Seasonally Scattered, and it's lovely (and the fussy cutting was intense!!, but worth it I think).

I added some burlap and sequins to make it prettier (as you do!), and I love how this card looks all finished!! Thanks JAI for the inspiration!!  My colours are Baked Brown Sugar, Hello Honey, and Mossy Meadow.

FANTASTIC!!

Cheerful Christmas

Look at his gorgeous card we did with Joy at our recent get together!! We heat embossed the greeting - and it is such a beautiful stamp that it looked lovely just like that!!  We then added just a few little embellishments - ribbon, sequins, and I added some snowflakes too!!  Joy had gorgeous Real Red ribbon on her card which was so beautiful too!!

Pretty Texture

I had to do a little baby card for a friend, so, here we have it - a textured baby card!!

I've used a paper doily, some texture using the Filigree Embossing Folder, and then the greeting is mounted with lots of layers, and finally some lovely little texture in ribbons and bakers twine - ooooh I love ribbon!!

and inside the card, is the other half of this gorgeous little saying from Something to Say stamp set.  It's so cute!! (big smile)

Fun with Markers at SUO

This week our challenge at SUO is Fun with Markers - and what a great challenge using Stampin' Markers or Blendabilities.

I have used BOTH in my card - I used Blendabilities for my floral embellishments which come from Flower Shop, and Petite Petals,

and markers to colour my greeting from Seasonally Scattered - and doesn't it look soooo gorgeous all coloured in!!!

My final addition was some sparkle - lots of little rhinestones to highlight that gorgeous 'thanks' stamp!!
The colours I have used are: Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Daffodil Delight.  And don't they look pretty together!!!

Quick Bookmarks

These little lovlies are a project for some elderly women at their weekly group get together.  We had a wonderful time creating these and it is so rewarding to do projects for those who feel creatively inadequate!!

Festival Of Trees and Stars

I got this idea from Patricia Belsey HERE (thank you Patricia for sharing your wonderful and creative idea!!) - and she had done 6 of these in some lovely colours!!

This was a fun quick card to do - using Festival of Trees, and the tree punch, confetti star punch and Itty Bitty Accents punch.  Here I have used Old Olive

Colour Challenge

The colours are inspired by the colours in the Santa and Co Washi Tape.

and I have used them as my basis for our page at this week's class.  The page is also based on a lot of ideas from Project Life - so I could incorporate lots of photos, and overlap papers and embellishments.

I've used the Marina Mist for all my stamping, and a few little highlights.

The Real Red is a tiny feature in ribbon, and candy dots (but there is also quite a bit of red in my photos too, which is a bonus!!)

And the basic black is all my printed papers mounted onto the Old Olive background paper.

The Newborn King

This is such a lovely stamp set, and I saw this idea recently in our Stampin' Up! training magazine, and really wanted to try it.  I have stamped with Baked Brown Sugar, and added some Under the Tree Specialty Designer Paper for my title embellishment.  The colouring I've done with the skin tone Blendabilities.  The little gold button and gold trim bakers twine are a lovely finishing touch.

Quick trees!

And here is another quick card idea using the Tree punch!!  This time I've used some embossing folders to give some extra texture behind the trees!!  You could make quite a few of these in one night and your card making would be ALL done for Christmas - just with a few simple supplies!!

I've used note cards and envelopes, tree punch, itty bitty star punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, stars embossing folder and Petite Pairs or Wondrous Wreath for the Christmas Greeting.  All of these are available on my online store if you CLICK HERE

Colour challenge at Just Add Ink

Over at Just Add Ink this week (check out their BLOG HERE), the challenge is to use these colours:-
JAI 239

and the design team have some wonderful ideas to inspire you!!  Just click on the link above!!  I decided to use these colours for my son's 18th birthday card - and they worked fabulously!!

The 'Happy Happy Happy' has been embossed with gold embossing powder, but it's a bit tricky trying to photograph! So you have to believe me when I say it looks great!!

And as my son is a real 'star' I had to add lots of gold glimmer stars!!    What a fun choice of colours - thank you Just Add Ink!

Merry Stars for your tree!

I've been having fun with the Many Merry Stars stamp set, and the coordinating framelits to makes some pretty little tree decorations - ready for gift giving this Christmas.

I've used a window sheet for these two stars - this one is stamped with white stazon ink, and the above star has the window sheet to create a shaker for the lovely frosted sequins.

This star uses some stamping from the Many Merry Stars stamp set, and also has some dazzling diamonds glimmer paper for the central star, and completed with a gold basic metal button tied with gold bakers twine.

And my last tree decoration uses a couple of different sizes of the framelits to create a lovely hanging star within a star - and I have embossed iridescent ice on gold ink for the star on one side,

and gold embossing powder on the other side of the star - just to see which I like better!!

Simple Christmas Cards

All of these cards have been inspired by the Groovy Love card on page 110 of our Annual Catalogue - with a Christmas Theme!!  What do you think?

This card uses Many Merry Stars stamp set and Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride.

This card uses Mosaic Madness and Island Indigo, Bemuda Bay and Coastal Cabana.

And this card uses Many Merry Stars again, with Petite Pairs providing the lovely Christmas greeting.  I've embellished this card with some sequins from the Incolour and Frosted sequins collections.
