Convention 2013

What do I love about Stampin' Up! ?  Well one of the great things is our annual convention!!

Here are a couple of photos at one of the events at the Convention this past week.  Here I am with my room mate - Janine who comes from Melbourne,

and here with Shelli - cofounder and CEO of Stampn' Up!  - such a lovely person!

Our convention was called Be the Difference - and that is just what we try to do - to make a difference to others by sharing what we love and do when we create and then empower others.

Same products - Many Designs

At my class this week, we did a scrap book page which was open to everyone's individual creativity - we all used the same products, and WOW didn't the designs turn out differently!!  I am using my page a my entry for the challenge this month at Just Add Ink which is to use this photo as inspiration for the page....

 

  I have used the Hello Doily stamp set, and also my greeting comes for Feel Goods - which has some wonderful and inspirational sayings!!  I have used the Lattice Big Shot die and lots of punched flowers and the flower trim for my floral arrangements - they have been sponged and died with lots of different colours - Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder, and Perfect Plum.  The journalling panel is on the Delicate Doilies Sizzlet.


The ladies in my class came up with some absolutely gorgeous designs - I just LOVE seeing all the amazing creativity  at every class I do!!

Mum's 70th Birthday

Isn't it wonderful to be able to make a lovely card for loved ones?

Recently Mum turned 70, and I made her this card - and I tried to incorporate lots of things about her.  She is a gifted craftswoman and makes beautiful doilies, so I have used the Hello Doily stamp set in the background.  She and I both share a love of crosswords, so the Cross My Heart stamp set works perfectly, and she is also a wonderful gardener - her roses are so lovely!  What a lucky daughter I am to have such a clever Mum!!

We gave her a lovely big party for her birthday and she chose pink and green for her colours - so those are the colours for her card too!  

Heart Felt Comfort Cafe

I recently made this lovely card using Comfort Cafe DSP with coordinating colours of Soft Suede and Riding Hood Red.

It is all wrapped up in this envelope made from the same paper closed with a belly band.

I have used the Layered Labels stamp set on the outside and From my Heart inside.

Lots of swaps ready for Convention where we meet and greet and swap great ideas!!!

Little Boxes

I loooove these cute little boxes I have created from Vellum Cardstock!!  They were so much fun to make and I made the measurements to fit exactly around something yummy!!!

It is a "pizza box" type of box with the lid attached.

The Vellum was put through the Big Shot with the vintage wallpaper Embossing Folder to give it some texture and interest, and then I didn't need to do too much for embellishment because the Vellum looks just so gorgeous!!

I have punched a little scallop circle with silver glimmer paper, and then 8 layers of filter paper punched with the same scallop circle - these were scrunched up to create a lovely flower.  The centre of the flower is a large rhinestone jewel and then some dazzling details was dripped around the edges of the 'petals' for extra bling, glimmer and glamour!!

 The final touch is a word stamped from the  Lovely Little Labels stamp set, and then punched with the Little Labels Punch Pack.  

I made 48 of these cuties (that's how many choccies were in the box!!) and they sparkle and smile at me and I think they are just beautiful!!!  I am giving them as swaps at Convention!!

Communion BookMarks

I have been working with a lovely group of children helping them prepare for the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation, and this is the little gift I have given them to commemorate this wonderful milestone in their lives....  Using the wonderful and useful stamp set - Crosses of Hope

Boutique Boxes

Stampin' Up! has some gorgeous kits, and this is one of them.  This  is the Boutique Boxes Designer Printed Kit and everything I have used to embellish these boxes came from the kit.

There is enough to create 8 little boxes out of the 8 die-cut printed boxes.   There are also 8 printed little note cards to pop into or with the boxes for a little greeting.

The kit includes a large die cut printed paper embellishment sheet which has all the doilies and feathers and paper buttons.

All of the 16 buttons - 8 summer starfruit and 8 very vanilla - as well as some crumb cake/very vanilla bakers twine is included!!

The kit even includes some Stampin' Dimensionals!!  

The colours of the kit are: Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla - and aren't the finished boxes just so lovely!!  These were so fun to make and they will make awesome little gifts for some very special people!!  (they can fit two freddo frogs in each one!!  Yum!!)

Butterflies on Flower

I has fun making this quick little card - using the More Amore DSP to create a lovely Blossom and then embellishing with a few butterflies and bling!!

This and That
