Thank you Cards

In my explorations to make Christmas gifts I thought I would make some Thank you Cards to give to people to use - and in the process made all of these designs trying to come up with something that I liked.....

I came up with something else completely but these still look ok, so I might find something for them yet.......

Gift Card Envelope

Another gift idea I have created this Christmas is this little set of note cards and envelopes all presented in their own little vellum envelope.

I used the stamp sets: Summer Afternoon for the images, and Blooming with Kindness for the greetings.  I coloured the pictures with markers and stamped them with Black Stazon permanent ink.  The envelopes I stamped with the same image in Basic Gray ink.

Merry Christmas from Stampin' Up!

Christmas Joy

I've had fun making some explosion cards for Christmas - with a few simple folds, these are a wow card when you open them!  For this one I used Rejoicing with Joy heat embossed on the front with gold and dazzling diamonds, and all the greeting stamped with Cherry Cobbler.  I also made a coordinating envelope out of Vanilla patterned paper using the diagonal score plate on the score board.

Summer Smooches Pincushion

I have been getting into the season for giving - and this is one of the gifts I have made - to give to a sewing loving relative!!  I used Summer smooches fabric cut into a circle and pulled over the top of an empty container (which used to hold buttons, or brads - I like to recycle lots of containers).  I put some stuffing into the container then stitched all around the edge of the circle, pulled it tight and tied a knot.  For the brim of the hat I made another larger circle of fabric which I then stitched in a running stitch all around the edge and pulled it tight over the top of a circle of cardboard.  The container of stuffing was glued onto the top of the brim, and some satin ribbon glued over the join and voila - a quick and easy pin cushion.

Just Add Balloons

At Just Add Ink this week, the challenge is to Just Add Balloons and I have created a couple of punched balloons for my daughters birthday party page.  I used the Large Oval Punch and the Ornament Punch for the bottom of the balloon where the string is tied.

Stamp sets used are: Make a Cake, and Bring on the Cake.  I also used the cup cake punch in the bottom corner as we had cupcakes for her birthday!!

The colours used for the page are Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry and Baja Breeze with some So Saffron.

Affection Collection

Affection Collection is a great stamp set for giving a vintage feel to any project.  It has some lovely words and images, and I've used quite a few of them in my page.  The colours are Daffodil Delight, Raspberry Ripple and Early Espresso with a few splashes of Whisper White.

I have used a crochet flower to anchor my journalling flags, and a piece of raspberry ripple ribbon.

I love using buttons and ribbon, and I have used some Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon along with a button threaded with white bakers twine here.  The extra embellishment near the stamped title is one of our fabulous In colour Dahlias - a lovely little extra accessory.

This corner features some of the lovely stamps from the stamp set.

Bows and Gifts

At our recent Heartfelt Event, one of the demonstrations by Kirsty Brown was about bows and packaging, and I have been practicing trying to recreate the bows - what do you think?

One of my lovely customers gave me this gorgeous giftbox - I love all the details she has used!!  So pretty.  Thank you Michelle.

Circle Banner

Another Circle project for my recent class was this gorgeous Christmas Banner - created with the Scallop circle for the Big Shot, some sweater trim and finished with the Cherry Cobbler tulle.

Each of the panels is different.  This panel features some of the Core-dinations card stock with has gone through the Big Shot, and then sanded to reveal the pattern in the embossing.  The greeting comes from Rejoicing with You.  The paper is from the Festival of Prints Pack.

The top panel features the angel from Rejoicing with You, and she has some dazzling diamonds on her trumpet, hair and the hem of her dress.  A little piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding tied with bakers twine finishes this panel.

The central panel features Christmas Blessings holly swirl stamp which is then watercoloured with ink and the aqua painter, and the greeting comes from Heart of Christmas.

The colours used for the banner are Always Artichoke, River Rock and Cherry Cobbler.  I have used Champagne glass glitter and crystal effects all around the outside edges of each part of the banner.

Demonstrator Get together

At our recent get together, we made some lovely projects - this first one from Robyn using the Clockworks stamp and Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo and Early Espresso - very dramatic colours.

This was my contribution using a technique with the brayer onto an embossing folder, and then put through the Big Shot, and then heat embossing gold and dazzling diamonds onto the brayered surface - very striking!

Robyn also guided us with this cute little summer Christmas card - great tree idea using the Pennant Build-a-Punch!

Heather shared some of the wonderful snow festival DSP for these gorgeous tags, as well as the Owl Builder Punch, and the Four Seasons Stamp Set which we coloured using markers.

Sonja's projects was this cute little box with a handle - which we embellished with the Twitterpated DSP and the ornament punch on top - great gift idea!!

And Tracey's card was this elegant and simple card sponged and embossed to create a snowy scene.  Lovely!

Circle Christmas

At a recent class we made a few projects using circles - this was one of them - this little card pouch is actually a circle which is folded up on three sides to create a cute and different type of card.

The little card slips out easily for you to write your greeting, and the pouch remains a lovely decorative part of the package!
I have used Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Very Vanilla.  The Designer Series Paper is Be of Good Cheer, and the stamp set is Wacky Wishes.  Embelishements are the In Colour Dahlias, and a couple of snow flakes from the Snow Flurry die for the Big Shot over the top of some cherry cobbler spotty ribbon.
