Petite Pocket Gift card holder

This fun project was made to hold a little gift card.  The Petite Pocket die for the BigShot is awesome for these great little gift-in-a-card projects!

I have used Pretty in Pink cardstock, and embossed the front panel of the Petite Pocket with the Lacy Brocade folder.  The feature embellishment includes - cherry cobbler bakers twine, victoria lace ribbon, a vintage faceted button, a primrose petal dahlia, and some raspberry ripple cardstock cut with the Big Shot using the Delicate Doilies die.  The greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners, and the paper inside the pocket comes from First Edition DSP stamped with pretty in pink and raspberry ripple with images from Established Elegance.

I think this project looks sooo pretty!

Clockworks

From the first moment I looked at our new catalogue, I just LOVED this card and stampset.  I have copied this card straight from our new Stampin' Up! catalogue, and it was so much fun!  The colours are More Mustard, Gumball Green, and Island Indigo.

The clock face is stamped onto some window sheet with Black Stazon Ink, and the clock frame has been heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  The Indigo blotches were made using a reinker and some Isocol mixed together in an aquapainter and squeezed onto the image.

This card also highlights some faux techniques - faux metal, and faux stitching.  The Faux stitching is achieved by piercing the cardstock using the piercing template, and then drawing lines using the white gel pen to create stitching!  The Faux metal is created by heat embossing 5 layers of silver embossing powder and then stamping into the molten powder with the stamp which has been inked up with versamark.  Looks fantastic, and this technique means you can stamp anything to create a metal look!

Woven Blue Scrapbooking

Using the lovely twitterpated DSP, I have used a lovely technique to weave a mat for my scrapbook page.

The coordinating colours I have used are Island Indigo, and Baja Breeze, with some Whisper White and Lucky Limeade features.

The stamp set is Papaya Collage, and I have also used the wonderful Beautiful Butterflies die for the Big shot.

Butterfly For You

I have had such fun using some of the lovely new products from our new catalogue!  This card uses some of the new Raspberry Ripple cardstock, and I have stamped in the corners an image from Affection Collection using our new Illuminate watermark inkpad - shiny and subtle all at once!  I then embossed the centre of the card using the Delicate Design Folder and the positioned my central panel on this.  The central embellishment is a shape from Apothecary Accents Framelits, which I then embossed using the Holiday Frame embossing folder and then sponged silver with our shimmer mist - Platinum.  The greeting comes from Layered Labels, and the butterfly has been embossed also with Delicate Design embossing folder.  A little piece of cherry cobbler bakers twine wrapped around the middle and voila!  A quick spray with some silver smooch spritz and the card is completed.

Create Gift Box

More gift box creation!  This time I have used Delicate Doilies to decorate my gift bag, and then used some ricrac from the Tasteful Trim die for the big shot.  The Gift Bag shape comes from the Oval Accent big clear die.

A little greeting/embellishment using the word Create from Creative Elements which was then punched using the modern label punch, and mounted onto some tempting turqoise cardstock.  Very Pretty.

Candy Wrapper Gift Box

More gift box ideas!  This time using the Candy Wrapper die for the Big Shot.    In this top one I have folded up one side of the candy wrapper to make a base for the gift box to stand up.  I have tied some sweater trim around the top and added a little greeting on the side.

This gift box I have left with both ends of the candy wrapper and tied each end with some island indigo bakers twine to coordinate with the cardstock.   The greeting on this  little gift box is this time put onto the front of a tiny little gift card.

Blossom Gift Box

Again inspired by the catalogue and the little gift bag on page 94, I created this lovely bag.  My project uses the flower from Workshop Words, and the greeting is from Itty Bitty Labels.  The colours are again summer starfruit, raspberry ripple and midnight muse.  Not sure if you can see in the background on the gift bag is the flower from Printed Petals stamped in our new Illuminate watermark inkpad.    Lovely.

Woodgrain Embossing

One of my new lovely purchases is this glorious woodgrain embossing folder.  I intend using it for masculine cards and projects, but then this lovely creation emerged and I think it is lovely!

I have used the Big Shot for the embossed Core-dinations paper with the Woodgrain folder, and then sanded the paper to reveal the lighter coloured core of the cardstock.  The Big Shot was also used for the little doily on the Pennants die.  I punched 3 scallop flowers, and then adhered one of the new dahlias in the centre of the little flower.  A piece of linen thread tied at the top and the greeting stamped on the bottom complete this cards.  The greeting is from Wacky Wishes - one of the new hostess stamp sets.

Little Friends

This cute little card is for my nephew turning 3 - the top Midnight Muse circle is waiting for a number 3 to be put into it as the final personalised touch on his little birthday card.

I have also made a little flag banner using the Good Cheer DSP and some bakers twine.

Button buddies flower

Again, copying the catalogue - this time using Button Buddies as the stamp set.  The Petite Pocket is the base for this little gift pouch.  The flower has been stamped 3 times and cut and mounted to create the final embellishment.  A vintage faceted button is the centrepiece - along with some white bakers twine.

The thank you comes from Just Believe.

Fabulous Florets

Another catalogue inspired card - this time for Fabulous Florets.  The background paper in the catalogue card was from the Fan Fair suite - but instead I used some sahara sand which I scored using the score board, and then sponged with some champagne shimmer mist as well as stamping randomly with En Francais.

The feature panel is a piece from the Labels framelits and a little embellishment butterfly from the beautiful wings embosslit.  I have done a little bit of paper piercing around the edge as an added interest.

Kindness Matters

I have been having a great time being inspired by the catalogue and this is one of the cards that I have done - If you know me, you know I love vintage, and this simple sweet card caught me eye as I was flicking through - I love the soft colours and the script backgrounds.....

And I love the finishing touches of the vintage trinkets, the crochet lace ribbon, and the embossed background under the central embellishment.
I used the Big Shot for the two tags die, the Apothecary Accents framelit and the Delicate Design Embossing folder.

Sanded Christmas

This lovely card is a copy straight out of our Holiday Catalogue - and it uses a new product - Core'dinations card stock which has been embossed through the Big shot and then sanded to reveal the lighter colour of the core of the card stock (in the middle).  This is a lovely two tone effect!  The Greeting is embellished with some of our new tulle ribbon - so soft and colourful.  A few little glittery stars complete this card.

Book Week Scrap book Challenge

This month at the  Just Add Ink Scrapbook Challenge we have a sketch to use as our stimulus for the scrapbook page.  Lots of pennants and flags on this page!  I have used Patio Party DSP for all my flags and some background paper.

This is the sketch we are working with.....

Stamps used are:  Make a Cake, and Papaya Collage, and the colours I have used are Baja Breeze, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, and Primrose Petals - in keeping with the colours on the paper.

Lots of white in the background help to keep the page from being way to busy with all those colours and papers!

Some lovely raspberry ripple stitched ribbon and rhinestone jewels help to give the page some bling.

And voila! another event has made it to the scrapbook album!

Christmas Cards with new goodies

This new snow flurry die for the Big Shot is just so gorgeous!!  I used some of the new champagne glimmer paper and then put it through the Big Shot to create this simple and quick card.

And Inside the card is the greeting highlighted again with the champagne glimmer paper.

Baby Booklet

This is what I have been working on last week - a little gift to celebrate the birth of a little baby, and also to share with her older brother.

Each page has a little tag inserted into the pocket to enable some journalling and then photos can be put onto each page.

I've tried to incorporate pages suitable for photos of both of the children.

I have used the stamp set Baby Prints which has these gorgeous hand and feet prints, as well as some great titles!

This paper is now retired - it was in the previous catalogue and is called Nursery Nest - such cute images with owls and birds.

The colours are Marina Mist, and Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz (which are both now retired).

I've used assorted pink and green ribbons to embellish the little journal tags.

This is such a great little folder - taught to me by Geordie (thank you).

Fun with Scrapbooking Tic Tac Toe - can you see the inspiration?
